Fantastic from Palace! Their workrate was unbelievable all the way through the game.

The noise here is off the scale - you'd think they'd won the league rather than won their first game in the league!

Show half of this spirit for the rest of the season and Crystal Palace won't have any problems staying in this league.

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

We think they enjoyed that one...

FULL-TIME

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Football, eh?

Roy Hodgson's side - without a point and without a goal in the league this season - have beaten the champions!

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

This is brilliantly scrappy in the final few minutes! The Palace fans are beside themselves!

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Wilfried Zaha still has bags of energy and outsmarts Azpilicueta to charge forward.

Cahill has to make a decent block in the end.

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

MAMADOU SAKHO, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

You do not - I repeat DO NOT - try and backheel the ball to clear it from your own box and then put it in the path of Cesc Fabregas.

What a let off for Palace as Fabregas shoots wide.

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Five minutes of added time. How's your blood pressure, Roy?

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Palace are still very much up for this! Andros Townsend, who has been brilliant today, hits a low right-footed shot past the post.

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Tiemoue Bakayoko picks up a yellow card and concedes a free-kick on the edge of the area.

Palace can't do anything with it, though.

'That would have been game, set and match!'

Van Aanholt has missed an utter sitter! Was he off balance? That would have been game, set and match! Palace might still claim all three points but if they don't he won't sleep tonight.

I've just seen a replay... well, that's why he's a left-back!

I do not think there is a better atmosphere in the Premier League that at Selhurst Park when it's rocking.

CLOSE!

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

What a chance for Palace! Andros Townsend's effort from distance is parried by Courtois into the path of Patrick van Aanholt but his follow-up shot is planted wide.

SUBSTITUTION

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

A double sub from Roy Hodgson.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Jairo Riedewald come on. Yohan Cabaye and James McArthur come off.

Palace have five minutes of normal time to see this out.

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

A mix-up between Chelsea players sends Wilfried Zaha into action! The Palace forward tries to force an effort goalwards but then Chelsea counter.

Scott Dann makes a heavy challenge on Pedro and gets a yellow for it. The visitors have a free-kick about 40 yards out.

Fabregas delivers but it's cleared.

Wilfried Zaha
AFP

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Another great run from Pedro ends up with another knees-to-the-floor save from fans' favourite Julian Speroni.

The 38-year-old has done a sound job in goal for the hosts today.

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Wilfried Zaha makes the first Palace break for a while. He weaves his way into the box and Zappacosta has to clear at full stretch.

Palace continue to push for another goal, thanks to some good ground work from Mamadou Sakho, but they're held up.

SUBSTITUTION

Jason Puncheon comes on for Jeffrey Schlupp as Roy Hodgson starts to tinker with his Palace side.

Meanwhile, Charly Musonda has a go from distance but the flag is up again.

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

In the last 10 minutes, Chelsea have had over 70% off the ball. Can Palace hang on for their first three points of the season?

CLOSE!

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Another chance for Chelsea! Julian Speroni pulls off a double save from Marcos Alonso's effort.

A dangerous ball in from Davide Zappacosta follows, but Hazard can't get the final touch as he rushes in.

It's ALL Chelsea now.

CLOSE!

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

A great chance for Chelsea!

Young Charly Musonda controls a Cesc Fabregas ball on his chest and can't quite poke home.

YELLOW CARD

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Milivojevic picks up the first booking of the match for a foul on Eden Hazard, but more importantly...

Too late for Chelsea?

Antonio Conte
PA

Chelsea are beginning to dominate now and they're going to have to keep on pushing. It's clear though that the international break has impacted on them - all their players who were away look tired.

Often, Antonio Conte's late changes do impact on games. But is it too late?

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Another save from Julian Speroni, whose hands are stung by Davide Zappacosta's shot from a corner.

Palace are holding on for the time being.

SUBSTITUTION

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Charly Musonda comes on for Willian in Chelsea's final change.

It's the 20-year-old's second Premier League appearance for the Blues.

Meanwhile, Pedro paces forward after being set up by Hazard and forces Julian Speroni into a low save.

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Davide Zappacosta thinks he's snuck in behind the Palace defence to reach a lovely ball over the top from Cesc Fabregas, but Sian Massey-Ellis has her flag up for offside.

Repeat again for a second time a minute later. Another tight call, but another correct one.

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Willian whistles a corner into the box but Marcos Alonso can't get his strawberry blonde locks on to it.

Palace may need to hang on a bit here. You feel Chelsea are building up to something.

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Chelsea threaten with a pacey attack from Eden Hazard and Pedro.

But Willian's ball into the box is really poor. It's cleared by Mamdou Sakho.

Pedro then hits a tame effort into the palms of Julian Speroni.

SUBSTITUTION

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Pedro is waiting to come on for Chelsea.

It's Michy Batshuayi who makes way.

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Andros Townsend and Wilfried Zaha continue to pose questions for the Chelsea defence.

Zaha paces up the right, feeds to Townsend, and the Palace number 10 sends the ball into the box for his team-mate, before the visitors clear.

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Cesc Fabregas takes another hit from distance but this one ends up in row Z.

Chelsea are turning the screws.

'Chelsea remain pedestrian'

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Pat Nevin

Ex-Chelsea winger at Selhurst Park for 5 live Sport

A great hit from distance by Fabregas, rattling the crossbar. I'm not convinced Speroni would have got there had it been on target.

But Chelsea remain pedestrian and I wouldn't be surprised if Conte makes a change soon...

HITS THE WOODWORK

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Cesc Fabregas is supplied by Marcos Alonso and takes a wonderful strike at goal from 25 yards out. It comes off the top of the crossbar and bounces over, but it was a good effort.

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Luka Milivojevic punts the ball into the path of Wilfried Zaha but the Palace goalscorer can't get control of it and it rolls out of play.

Palace remain positive.

CLOSE!

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Oooh, an early test for Thibaut Courtois from Yohan Cabaye.

The Palace midfielder has a go from distance and it's got some power on it. The Chelsea keeper's got it covered though.

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

Antonio Conte looks a little pensive as he patrols the technical area. What's he got up his sleeve for Crystal Palace to deal with?

We're back under way.

An uphill battle?

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

6 - Chelsea have lost 6 of the 7 previous PL games when trailing at half-time under Conte - winning against Man City in Dec 2016. Uphill.
