  1. Goodbye

    Man Utd 4-1 Newcastle

Back to winning ways and back up to second in the table. Still a long way to chase down rivals Manchester City though.

We are back on Sunday for more Premier League action.

    Until then

  2. 'We know our strengths and our weaknesses'

    Man Utd 4-1 Newcastle

    Newcastle United

    Rafa Benitez

Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez on BT Sport: "We played really well for 30 minutes, and we were doing what we talked about. But as soon as they scored they were very difficult to handle. We knew that it was most important to go into half-time no worse than a draw. The second goal really did give them a lift.

"Manchester United spend so much money on players of such great quality, they will always make a great difference. We know our strengths and our weaknesses - there is a massive different in money spent in recent years, and that can be seen in every one-on-one situation."

  3. 'We played well against top class players'

    Man Utd 4-1 Newcastle

    Newcastle United

Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez on BBC Sport: "I am proud of my players because we knew that would be a difficult game.

"After conceding the first and especially the second goal that made a huge difference. Against United players of this level you have to play almost perfectly.

"United have five or six players at 1.90m, so that is hard to defend against.

"We took more risks after conceding the third, and we eventually conceded another. And that is hard, because we knew then we couldn't win and so retaining belief is quite hard.

"But the reality is that for 30 minutes we played well against top class players."

  4. 'People can say what they want'

    Man Utd 4-1 Newcastle

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho tells BBC Sport: "We played very well after their goal. They started better, were organsied and compact. Rafael Benitez is very intelligent and they created problems but we did well. The result could have been a little bit bigger than it was.

"The first goal, our equaliser, the home team feels pressure. It was very important. We pressed and then the second goal put us in a situation with more confidence. They had to come out then we had plenty of space to play.

"You recover some players and you lose others, some teams are luckier. We have had to go through difficult matches without important players, let us see if we can go through the Christmas period with all the players available at our disposal. The more players we have, the better for me.

"People can say what they want, sometimes we score, sometimes we don't. We can sleep always well because when you give everything and you have no more to give, that is fine."

  5. 'Pogba is different class'

    Man Utd 4-1 Newcastle

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho tells BT Sport: "I am pleased for the three three points, the quality of our performance after Newcastle's goal, that mentality to react without panic and in a positive way, and obviously the return of injured players is always nice, especially in Zlatan Ibrahimovic' case. His was such a dramatic injury. To see him back is a great emotion.

"Paul Pogba is different class - Paul and Nemanja Matic grew up together at the start of the season and are the engine of the team. It was in Paul's hands, how many minutes to play until he began to feel fatigued. It was a great performance from him.

"I know that strikers depend on goals for confidence and happiness. I was really happy to see him score his goal.

"We go match to match - we can only play Manchester City twice in a season. In those games we will try to take points - outside of those fixtures we are not in control."

  6. 'Lions don't recover like humans'

    Man Utd 4-1 Newcastle

    Manchester United

    Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic tells BT Sport: "This feels special. Different day, same quality. I'm not worried at all - I train hard, sacrifice a lot. I play in my head, my knee just needs to follow.

"Was I worried about returning? No. Lions don't recover like humans."

  7. 'Forget the criticism'

    Man Utd 4-1 Newcastle

    Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba tells BT Sport: "We won, we have the three points and that is most important thing. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, me and Marcos Rojo came back from injury so we are happy.

"I see the same team and feel the same atmosphere. The season is very long, it is not about now, it is about the end. We just forget the criticism.

"It hurts when you are not playing, you want to help the team, but you just have to do your recovery."
