  1. Goodbye

A decent first half, let's not talk about the second.

Have a read of the report

I am back on Saturday alongside Gary Rose to hopefully see an action-packed Saturday.

    Until then.

  2. 'A deserved point'

    West Ham 1-1 Leicester

    West Ham United

West Ham boss David Moyes tells BBC Sport: "It was much better in the second half. I was glad to go 1-1 in the first. The lads stuck at it. Our second half performance warranted getting a winner.

"It was something we talked about - getting the first goal. It was the first time Leicester had been in the penalty area. It was demoralising but we stuck at it and grew in the half. Andy [Carroll] had a chance that Kasper [Schmeichel] saved and then we got the goal. It was deserved.

"We are desperately trying to get a level that the players can play at to get results. We worked hard tonight and got a point which shows us how far we have got to go."

  3. Promising

    West Ham 1-1 Leicester

    Leicester City

Leicester manager Claude Puel speaking to Sky Sports: "I think at the end, it is a bit disappointing. It is difficult to accept it for a draw.

"We have had a lot of opportunities in the first half and we have to kill this game in the first half.

"There was a lot of quality in the first half but, it was harder in the second half with the long ball and a difficult atmosphere.

"This is the second time after Stoke away, when we were leading 1-0 and then 2-1 and then drew. It is a little difficult to accept this result. We can do better.

"I think we are making progress with the ball, with good moves and prevent their pressing. It is promising for the future. The players are listening and trying to correct some aspects."

  4. Stuck at it

    West Ham 1-1 Leicester

    West Ham United

West Ham manager David Moyes tells Sky Sports: "It was a start of us tonight. It has not been the best for us, but the performance by the players merited more. The fans were fantastic, after all the negatives we heard, it was the opposite.

"When you come to play West Ham over the years, it has be a tough place to come with a tough crowd they did that tonight. l the got right behind the players and the players gave them something back.

"The players were great in the second half and the crowd reacted to that. The players are low on confidence, they lost their manager and we went a goal behind. They stuck at it throughout and made a real go of it in the second half.

"Marko Arnautovic played really well for us at Watford. We told him, if you do not run, we will not play you. So he has run today. He has power and pace so defenders do not want to play against him. We need him to score goals and make goals, he played well today.

"Our crosses in the first half were terrible, they hit the first man or were too long.

"The players have set the standards today, but that only got us a draw. We need to keep that up if we want to get more from games."

  5. A fair point

    West Ham 1-1 Leicester

    Leicester City

Leicester midfielder Marc Albrighton tells Sky Sports: "We will come away happy with a point, we knew it would be tough game. They have not had the best of seasons but you know you would get a battle. A point is fair.

"When the crowd get behind the team, it is a very intimidating atmosphere. A lot had been made about how far they are form the pitch, but they made a lot of noise.

"We were under the cosh for the first few minutes but we have countered a lot over the last few years. Jamie Vardy put in a speculative ball and I pounced on the defender's mishap.

  6. Proved a lot

    West Ham 1-1 Leicester

    West Ham United

West Ham striker Andy Carroll, talking to Sky Sports: "It was a tough game and we had to work hard. We got the point and could have got three.

"I think the lads have done well today and worked hard.

"We are going to Everton as just another game. It is important that we carry on from today. We still have team spirit and we have shown and proved a lot tonight."

  7. 'Supports means the world'

    West Ham 1-1 Leicester

    West Ham United

    Joe Hart and David Moyes

West Ham goalkeeper Joe Hart tells Sky Sports: "The manager has asked for quality. But first and foremost he wants us to work and be disciplined. We had big chances and missed them at Watford. It could have gone two ways tonight and the fans stuck with us.

"I was stood in goal and didn't have a lot to do. It would have been easy for the fans to hammer us. When we have the support we play differently. It means the world to the players.

"I can't knock the first half performance. It was a bad goal to concede but we were organised."

    Jermaine Jenas

Quality is still lacking for West Ham. Yes there was courage but they only play one way. They try to get Carroll on the end of something. The only reason they were close in this game is because Leicester were so poor.
