    FT: Cardiff 3-1 Leeds

    Neil Warnock

Since he left his job as Leeds boss in April 2013, Neil Warnock has now won all four league meetings against his former side.

Tonight's win may feel like the most significant, as his Cardiff side haved leapfrogged United at the top of the Championship.

With that, it's time for us to bid you farewell and thank you for joining us, on another bad night for Bolton and Sunderland, but a good one for Norwich, Preston, Bristol City and Aston Villa.

Do come back tomorrow at 19:15 for more EFL action. Until then, au revoir.

    FT: Cardiff 3-1 Leeds

Cardiff boss Neil Warnock tells Sky Sports: "I said to big Sol Bamba 'you're my man tonight' and I thought he was outstanding.

"I'm disappointed to concede but you can't be too greedy, can you? It was a really good, all-round performance."

  9. Post update

    FT: Bristol City 2-0 Bolton

    Brendon Mitchell

    BBC Sport at Ashton Gate

    Famara Diedhiou

Victories don't come much more routine than that in the Championship.

Bristol City, who are now eight league games unbeaten, were utterly dominant after half-time and appear in good shape under head coach Lee Johnson.

Famara Diedhiou and Aden Flint scored either side of half-time.

Bolton's task of staying up doesn't look to be getting any easier, without a goal in seven games in all competitions and looking ominously short on quality, even at this relatively early stage of the season.

  10. League One full-time headlines

    • League leaders Shrewsbury Town beat Doncaster thanks to Arthur Gnahoua's injury-time goal, and maintain their unbeaten EFL record.
    • Managerless Oldham beat Peterborough 3-2, despite playing over 30 minutes with 10 men.
    • Fleetwood Town beat Bradford 3-0 with goals from Jordi Hiwula, Devante Cole and Ashley Hunter.
    • Portsmouth and Bury are also 3-0 home winners, beating Bristol Rovers and Oxford United respectively.
    • Blackburn defeat Rotherham 2-0 with goals from Marcus Antonsson and Harry Chapman.

Kev: Sat in Central Park in 30 degree heat and log on to see Sunderland getting beat again! Great way to ruin my afternoon sun.

Chevy Chase Is Ace: Sunderland are a direct repeat of last season, dire defending and equally rubbish in attack. Maya, Asoro, Watmore, PLEASE RETURN.

B3N0: SAFC, poor, clueless, no guts, no heart, no strategy, no leadership, no good.

Safe to say, Sunderland fans are not happy tonight, as their side's poor run goes on.

  12. Reaction: Cardiff go top of the table

    FT: Cardiff 3-1 Leeds

    Junior Hoilett

Cardiff winger Junior Hoilett tells Sky Sports:

"Since last season, we've seen the gaffer bring great confidence to the team. We're here to make a statement."

  13. Post update

    FT: Cardiff 3-1 Leeds

It's a fully-deserved win for Neil Warnock's Cardiff against one of his former clubs.

Kenneth Zohore, with two goals, was clinical, but Junior Hoilett shone as well, as Cardiff went about making quite a statement.

  14. Other Championship full-time headlines

    • Preston score late at Hull to win 2-1 and go within a point of second place.
    • Aston Villa thrash Burton 4-0 and are two points off the play-offs.
    • Sunderland remain in the relegation zone with a 5-2 defeat at Ipswich.
    • Norwich continue their good form as James Maddison scores the only goal in a victory at Middlesbrough.
    • Bottom club Bolton lose 2-0 at Bristol City and fail to score for a sixth successive Championship game.
  15. FULL-TIME

  17. League One latest

Peterborough's unbeaten away record looks to be coming to an end, with 10-man Oldham taking the lead after some woeful defending. Eoin Doyle squares for Dan Gardner to score before making it safe at 3-1 with his second of the evening.

Portsmouth are comfortable against Bristol Rovers, with Brett Pitman's second of the night and eighth league goal of the season putting them 3-0 up.

Nick Powell's penalty has put Wigan 1-0 up late on against Plymouth.

  18. Post update

    Cardiff 3-1 Leeds

They're now in to stoppage time at the Cardiff City Stadium, with four minutes signalled.

The hosts are looking comfortable against 10-man Leeds.

  19. GOAL: Brentford 1-1 Derby

    Ollie Watkins (86 mins)

Late goals all over the place in the Championship! Ollie Watkins nets to probably give Brentford a point against Derby.

Meanwhile, Fulham have wrapped up the points at Nottingham Forest. Neeskens Kabano makes it 3-1 to the London side.
