  1. Who will join Hibs and Rangers in last four?

So that just about wraps things up for tonight.

Hibernian - who beat Livingston 3-2 - and Rangers - who overcame Partick Thistle 3-1 after extra time - are through to the Scottish League Cup semi-finals, which will be played, incidentally, on the weekend of 21/22 October.

On Wednesday, champions Celtic travel to face Dundee at Dens Park, while the final quarter-final on Thursday sees Motherwell tackle Aberdeen at Fir Park.

Join us back here for those, and thanks for your company tonight. Til the next time...

  2. Hopkin unhappy with referee after Livi loss

    FT: Hibernian 3-2 Livingston

Livingston manager David Hopkin told BBC Scotland: "I think the way we played, I made five changes to the team tonight and the boys came in and did me proud. I knew they would. I knew we would give Hibs a tough game and I thought we deserved more out of the game.

"At 2-1 Bobby Madden decides to give a free-kick which I still don’t know what he’s given it for, then the free-kick has gone through nobody and he gives a corner. And the second goal, the equaliser comes from it. So some of Bobby’s (Madden) decisions tonight were a wee bit strange I thought."

On the penalty incident: "I just think he’s going away from goal. I think Todorov actually got a wee nick on the ball. It’s nothing and I just think it’s not even a coming together. But you know when you come to Easter Road, you’re a smaller side and these decisions go against you and it's put Hibs into the next round of the cup."

  3. Caixinha happy with Rangers' display

    FT: Partick Thistle 1-3 Rangers

Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha, speaking to BT Sport, looks a happy man after their 3-1 extra-time victory at Thistle, despite seeing Bruno Alves and Declan John depart with knocks ahead of Saturday's Old Firm clash with Celtic.

"i really liked the performance - we created a lot of chances to win the game earlier.

"We had to make four substitutions which shook the team a little bit, but I think Lee [Hodson] and Ross [McCrorie] did very well. I think that young boy [McCrorie] is going to be the future of this country at centre-half.

"I think in a difficult moment at the start of extra-time, we had our best moments and killed the game. We need to cool down as a team sometimes when the second goal isn't coming."

  4. Lennon delighted with Hibs' character

    Hibernian 3-2 Livingston

Hibs manager Neil Lennon is a far happier man after his side's 3-2 win over Livingston than he was after their 2-2 draw at home to Motherwell on Saturday.

Speaking to BBC Scotland, Lennon said: “We’ve come from a goal down twice, which shows marvellous character, and we’re in the semi-finals.

“We played very well and deserved to win the game. Even before Livi got the goal, we could’ve been two or three up. Our football at times was outstanding and we scored two beautiful goals."

  5. FULL-TIME - Partick Thistle 1-3 Rangers

Daniel Candeias wastes another chance in the final minute of extra time, slicing wide, but it matters not.

Pedro Caixinha's side were wasteful in normal time, but two cracking strikes in extra time see them through to the semi-finals, and onward toward a first Premiership meeting of the season with Celtic on Saturday.

  6. CLOSE!

    Partick Thistle 1-3 Rangers

That would have put some extra gloss on what is surely now a convincing Rangers victory. Right-back James Tavernier weaves his way into the area and fires in a shot that Thistle keeper Ryan Scully just gets a hand to and diverts it across goal.

    Partick Thistle 1-3 Rangers

Thistle's frustration starting to show, Christie Elliott earning a yellow card after hacking away repeatedly at Rangers' Graham Dorrans.

  8. HALF-TIME in EXTRA TIME - Partick Thistle 1-3 Rangers

That quick-fire Rangers double in the first period of extra time has taken the wind out of Partick Thistle.

Can the hosts find some inspiration in this second 15 minutes, or is this already done and dusted?

  9. GOAL - Partick Thistle 1-3 Rangers (Herrera)

That should see Rangers into the semi-finals.

Delightful build-up play from the visitors ends with Daniel Candeias sending the ball back across goal, and Eduardo Herrera's superb back-flick - on the volley - arrows into the bottom corner. Sweet finish.

  10. GOAL - Partick Thistle 1-2 Rangers (Candeias)

Great finish from Daniel Candeias, who picks the ball up on the edge of the box, turns sharply and smashes a left-foot shot past Thistle keeper Ryan Scully and inside his near post.

  11. Fourth sub for Rangers

    Partick Thistle 1-1 Rangers

Rangers send on Eduardo Herrera at the start of extra time for top scorer Alfedo Morelos. That's a fourth substitution of the night for Gers boss Pedro Caixinha, whose allowed an extra sub in extra-time in this competition.

  12. FULL-TIME - Hibernian 3-2 Livingston

    Hibs through to semi-finals

It's all over at Easter Road, Anthony Stokes' penalty with six minutes left proving the winner. But kudos to the Championship club, who pushed Hibs all the way.

  13. FULL-TIME - Partick Thistle 1-1 Rangers

    Extra-time at Firhill

Well, well, well. Rangers seemed to be easing to a single-goal victory at Firhill, but Thistle's hopes of a first win over their near neighbours for 24 years remains alive.

We have another half-an-hour to play. And if they're still level after that, a penalty shoot-out.

  14. GOAL - Partick Thistle 1-1 Rangers (Doolan)

Conor Sammon wins a header at the back post and nods it down to substitute Kris Doolan, who spins away from Fabio Cardoso and fires high into the net.

    Extra-time looming at Firhill.

  15. GOAL - Hibernian 3-2 Livingston (Stokes penalty)

The home side may well have won it thanks to an Anthony Stokes spot-kick. Defender Paul Hanlon won the penalty as he was downed in the box by Scott Pittman. Stokes provided a cracking finish to make it 3-2.

  16. Post update

    Hibernian 2-2 Livingston

The home side starting to pile on the pressure here as Steven Whittaker bends an effort just wide before Anthony Stokes knocks a shot wide.

Neil Lennon watches his Hibs side
Image caption: Stick or twist? Will Hibs boss Neil Lennon put his whole coat on before full-time?
  17. CLOSE!

    Partick Thistle 0-1 Rangers

Double chance for the hosts. Danny Devine's low shot is well blocked by Jak Alnwick, and Kris Doolan can't react quickly enough as he volleys the rebound over.

    Nervous times for Rangers fans.

  18. Injury worries for Gers before Old Firm clash?

    Partick Thistle 0-1 Rangers

Concern for Rangers fans ahead of Saturday's first Old Firm meeting of the season with Celtic as experienced Portuguese centre-back Bruno Alves is taken off and given an ice pack to put on his lower leg.

Ross McCrorie, 19, is on for his senior debut. Moments later, Lee Hodson is also sent on for left-back Declan John, who appears to be getting strapping to his right thigh.

Can Rangers see this out, or can Thistle find an equaliser? We have 11 minutes of normal time left.

  19. More changes at Easter Road

    Hibernian 2-2 Livingston

Daniel Mullen is on for Keaghan Jacobs for Livingston, who are still more than holding their own at the home of their Premiership opponents.

Hibs boss Neil Lennon sends on Dylan McGeouch in midfield for Vykintas Slivka.

Both sides have 20 minutes to find a winner, or face extra-time.

  20. Goal-scorer Pena off for Rangers

    Partick Thistle 0-1 Rangers

Rangers make their first change of the evening, bringing on midfielder Jason Holt - who has not featured for over a month - for Carlos Pena, whose goal separates the sides.
