  1. Big win for the Blades

    FT: Leeds 1-2 Sheff Utd

    David Brooks

Well, well, well. What a run Chris Wilder's Sheffield United are on.

They've won nine of their past 11 league games and are top of the table.

They couldn't go all the way to the Premier League... Could they?

Leeds were unlucky when Samuel Saiz hit the inside of the post in the second half, but otherwise it's a poor night for them, at home, against one of their Yorkshire rivals. They stay fourth, but are now seven points adrift of the Blades.

Thanks for your company. It's been a pleasure. We'll see you again tomorrow.

  2. Still to come this weekend

    FT: Leeds 1-2 Sheff Utd

If you enjoyed that clash between two Yorkshire clubs, well, we've got another one coming for you tomorrow lunchtime.

Sheffield Wednesday v Barnsley will get Saturday's EFL action under way at 12:30 tomorrow, before a full programme of 15:00 kick-offs in all three divisions.

Hull City and Nottingham Forest (17:30) should keep us all entertained through Saturday evening, but then make sure you come back on Sunday too, as struggling Birmingham City host rivals Aston Villa in the second city derby.

It promises to be quite a weekend.

  3. FT: Leeds 1-2 Sheff Utd

    David Brooks

Substitute David Brooks' late winner sends Sheffield United to the top of the Championship.

They've won 10 of their 14 league games this season.

    That's promotion form alright.

Could boss Chris Wilder win League Two, League One and the Championship in successive seasons?

  4. FULL-TIME

    Leeds 1-2 Sheff Utd

That's it! Sheffield United complete a memorable win.

  5. Post update

    Leeds 1-2 Sheff Utd

Leeds get forward in numbers but Pablo Hernandez wastes the attack as he crosses poorly, straight at the keeper.

  6. Post update

    Leeds 1-2 Sheff Utd

Sheffield United's potential match-winner David Brooks shoots at goal looking for his second Blades goal, but he doesn't catch it particularly well this time and it's wide.

  7. Post update

    Leeds 1-2 Sheff Utd

Leeds have men forward but a high cross is headed tamely towards goal by substitute Jay-Rot Grot.

The clock continues to run down for the hosts.

  8. Post update

    Leeds 1-2 Sheff Utd

Sheffield United are closing in on what would be a third win in a row, to move top of the league.

For Leeds, it's now or never, else they'll lose for the fifth time in their past six games in all competitions.

  9. Post update

    Leeds 1-2 Sheff Utd

The officials have indicated a minimum of five added minutes.

    Your 2005 memories

Jamie: In 2005 I did my GCSE's, LFC won the CL with that amazing comeback, at 3-0 down I decided to do some revision, missed first 2 goals

So you mean you missed 5 live's Mike Ingham screaming 'Allll the waaay from Vladimir Smicer!!!', Jamie? You had a stinker there pal.

  11. Post update

    Leeds 1-2 Sheff Utd

After a seemingly endless spell of bookings, Leeds now have to get themselves sorted quickly as they have just moments left to try and find an equaliser.

  12. YELLOW CARD (Leeds)

    Leeds 1-2 Sheff Utd

Now Leeds' Ronaldo Vieira is booked for bringing down Blades goal scorer David Brooks, who was too quick for him.

Free-kick to Sheffield United in a very dangerous position near the box, on the left... But it's headed wide at the back post by Leon Clarke.

  13. YELLOW CARD (Sheff Utd)

    Leeds 1-2 Sheff Utd

John Fleck becomes the fifth Sheffield United player to be booked tonight and it's his fifth of the campaign so he'll miss their next game.

Now there's a bit of an altercation as the Blades' Mark Duffy leaves the field to be replaced by John Lundstram.

Duffy clashes with Leeds' Samuel Saiz while making his way towards the halfway line.

Fleck comes from nowhere to shove Saiz. It's all a bit silly.

The referee steps in to calm things down.

  14. SUBSTITUTION (Leeds)

    Leeds 1-2 Sheff Utd

Leeds' final change sees Jay-Roy Grot replace Vurnon Anita.

Meanwhile, in the goal celebrations, Leon Clarke is booked.

  15. GOAL: Leeds 1-2 Sheff Utd

    David Brooks

The substitute gets his first senior EFL goal!

Moments after Leon Clarke has a low shot saved, David Brooks latches on to a through ball and calmly strokes in a low finish past Andy Longergan.

That could be the goal that sends Sheffield United top of the Championship for the first time in 12 years.

  16. PENALTY APPEAL (Leeds)

    Leeds 1-1 Sheff Utd

Leeds fans want a penalty as Samuel Saiz goes down in the area but there doesn't look to be anything in that.

Saiz, to be fair to him, didn't appeal for it.

  17. SUBSTITUTION (Sheff Utd)

    Leeds 1-1 Sheff Utd

Blades captain and goal scorer Billy Sharp comes off.

On comes the youngster David Brooks.

  18. YELLOW CARD (Sheff Utd)

    Leeds 1-1 Sheff Utd

The Blades' George Baldock is booked for a foul on Leeds' Ronaldo Vieira.

  19. Post update

    Leeds 1-1 Sheff Utd

    Leeds v Sheff Utd

Both sides reckon they can win this. They're both having a go when they can and things are starting to open up a bit. Gaps are emerging.

  20. SUBSTITUTION (Leeds)

    Leeds 1-1 Sheff Utd

Leeds' second change sees Ezgjan Alioski replaced by Pablo Hernandez.
