Latest PostThat's all folks...
That is all from me for tonight.
We will be back tomorrow with more live football coverage in the shape of Denmark v Republic of Ireland in the World Cup play-offs.
I'll see thee.
Manager reaction
England 0-0 Germany
England manager Gareth Southgate: "First half a couple of really goods saves from Jordan (Pickford), we caused our own problems with a couple of those. But we posed our own questions and I thought we used the ball well."
On Loftus-Cheek: "He did everything I know he can do. It took him 10 minutes to realise he's OK here. He is capable of anything. He has the physical attributes and can handle the ball. He will gain huge confidence from it. There will be harder tests as the likes of Germany will have another gear to go to."
Unbeaten at Wembley under Southgate
England 0-0 Germany
This was the first 0-0 between England and Germany since June 1982, when Ron Greenwood’s side drew against West Germany at the World Cup in Spain.
It means England remain unbeaten at Wembley under Gareth Southgate (W5 D2), keeping five clean sheets in seven games.

Chris Allen: I can't remember the last time England's defence played as decently as they did tonight.
Lee Parkinson: Wasn't looking forward to another friendly but the guys coming in did themselves so much justice, good times ahead with.
Simon Woodford: On the all they defended well but wasteful on the counter. All the debutants did well. Pickford made a strong claim to be no.1
Right result
France 2-0 Wales
The result was the right one on the balance of play in Paris. France dominated from the start, scored twice and kept the Welsh goalframe rattling.
But Wales showed back bone and took the opportunity to blood some of the next generation. Failure to qualify for the World Cup will still hurt but it is all about the future now.
Ruben learns and eyes improvement
England 0-0 Germany
England captain on the night Eric Dier speaks to ITV: "I think we did well. Obviously against a well-oiled machine they will have periods in the game where they control possession but I didn't think they hurt us. And we had our periods, broke well on times and are actually disappointed we haven't scored."
Debutant Ruben Loftus-Cheek: "If we won it would have been better but I'm really happy. It was a really tactical game. It was good for us young players and I certainly learned a lot.
"The manager has said do your best. I had Gareth in charge for nearly three years at the Under-21s and the boys have been great. I've settled in really well and they gave me a platform to go out and play.
"To go to the World Cup it's a long season and I still have to improve. I have to keep learning and getting better and hopefully there's a chance to get on the plane."
'Southgate will be encouraged'
England 0-0 Germany
Ian Dennis
BBC Radio 5 live senior football reporter at Wembley
The first goalless draw involving England at Wembley since October 2010.
The tempo noticeably dropped in the 2nd half. England defended well and limited Germany to hardly any chances.
An outstanding reflex save from Marc-Andre ter Stegen kept out a Jamie Vardy header after 49 minutes while Jesse Lingard scooped over a shot at the death.
England started the game with 101 caps compared to the Germans' tally of 297 so I'm sure Gareth Southgate will be encouraged by this display, with an assured performance by debutant Ruben Loftus Cheek.
'If Southgate wanted a selection problem, he's been given one'
England 0-0 Germany

Loftus-Cheek has looked comfortable, he hasn't been overawed by the situation. My only criticism is that I think he's got so much more to his game from a dynamic point of view, that we didn't see.
I think John Stones has been absolutely outstanding. Jordan Pickford has been brilliant also. So was Jamie Vardy, he was an absolute nuisance.
The first half's display was something that Gareth Southgate can look at and get his teeth into. The second half has been a lot slower and more difficult for the fans to watch.
From the fan's perspective, I do get it, it did slow down. But it was still one of the best England games I've seen in a long time.
If Gareth Southgate wanted a selection problem tonight, he's been given one by Ruben Loftus-Cheek. I thought it was a really assured performance from him.
Positives
England 0-0 Germany
More positives than negatives for England.
They did not win but their debutants impressed, especially Ruben Loftus-Cheek. They were able to get at Germany.
They also have another serious contender for the goalkeeper's jersey in Jordan Pickford.

Oh! There it was! The ball game begging to be won!
Rashford delivers, Maguire nods back, Lingard fires over from six yards out.
Should have scored. Should have won it for England.

Last chance. Jesse Lingard fouled in the German half. One final opportunity to test the German keeper...

Tom Fisk: It just doesn't feel right all these positive tweets about England. Where's the cynicism, where's the moaning? Where's your British sense of self pity? How dare these youngsters play with passion and pride. Outrageous.
Mark Davey: Those complaining that we are playing negatively at home. There are no home games in tournaments.
Thom Hamilton: You have to admit, this is the most exciting England game in a long time, would be a shame not to get the win. Start of the game everyone expecting a battering!

I actually think Jake Livermore's done well tonight. He's one of the players that was left out of the squad and brought back in due to injuries.
And he's done what Jake Livermore does best, which is be destructive, covered a lot of miles and he's got on the ball where he can. Another good display of a squad player.
