  1. The Carabao Cup quarter-final draw...

The Carabao Cup draws have not gone totally smoothly so far this year, and now the quarter-final draw featuring Phil Tufnell and Matt Dawson ran a little late...

    However, all is not lost.

People on social media are entertaining themselves....

    And then this happened...

    Hold the line please caller...

    And still, we wait...

  2. When in London...

This weekend, the Minnesota Vikings are facing the Cleveland Browns at Twickenham.

And in preparation for their trip across the Pond, the Vikings have been put to the test with a Cockney rhyming slang quiz.

Know your apples and pears from your pots and dishes?

Then see if you can do better than the Vikings...

Let's hope their performance on Sunday is better than this!

  3. Handshake skills on point...

    View more on twitter

LeBron James, aka the coolest guy on the planet, shared a handshake with Cleveland Cavaliers team-mate Dwyane Wade.

A pretty low-key celebration for D-Wade considering he'd just beaten his old side the Chicago Bulls.

Emotional NBA fans had a sense of deja vu after basketball's power couple performed the slick handshake, which was their signature move when they played together for Miami Heat.

But what got people talking was when D-Wade addressed another Cavaliers team-mate, Kevin Love.

If Love was after a fire sequence, he wasn't getting it. Instead, D Wade offered him a formal, polite handshake, leaving Love gobsmacked.

But it's all good, Love is hopeful that his special handshake is coming...

  4. Tis the season...

    Christmas merchandise.

It’s something the fans don’t think about when they’re calling for a manager to be fired.

But the sacking of Carlo Ancelotti last month created a dilemma for Bayern Munich – bin thousands of advent calendars with his face on, or crack on and sell them?

    They decided to crack on...

The former manager took pride of place on door 19 - tucking into his roast turkey.

And now, weeks after the festive product was released, they've decided to bring their new boss Jupp Heynckes into the mix by creating a sticker to slap on top of poor old Ancelotti.

  5. Pogba's dancing is back - but is he?!

Manchester United fans - prepare to get excited.

It looks like Paul Pogba is on the verge of a return.

The 24-year-old has been sidelined since picking up a hamstring injury against Basel in September.

But this morning, Jesse Lingard posted a video on his Instagram story showing team-mate Pogba dancing to Drake's Portland at United's training ground.

The France international had been in Miami recovering from his injury and flew back from the Sunshine State a few days ago.

    Glad to see him back?

  6. Crouchy is not happy with the England youth teams...

Peter Crouch, who earned 42 England caps, including appearances at two World Cups, has tweeted his "outrage" at England's Young Lions who have had the "audacity" to do well at major international tournaments this year.

We are pretty sure this is the Crouchy way of saying "well done lads" after the U-17 side beat Brazil 3-1 to reach Saturday's final against Spain in Kolkata.

This follows the victory in the European Under-19 Championship and the Under-20's winning the World Cup in June.

Those pesky teenagers, dominating tournaments, doing their country proud.

How dare they indeed, Mr Crouch.

  7. Screen grab that tweet NOW.

Oh dear... Comedian and Bristol City fan Mark Watson has done a Gary Lineker...

    Mark Watson comedian

The Bristol-born comedian, often a guest on BBC Radio 5 live's Fighting Talk, has tweeted he will perform naked at the Bristol Hippodrome if his team win the Carabao Cup.

The Robins beat Premier League side Crystal Palace 4-1 on Tuesday night to reach the quarter-final and are two games away from the final at Wembley.

At what point does Mark start to think about manscaping?

  8. 'Sorry? You want MY shirt?!'

He may have put on a cracking performance against Premier League leaders Manchester City on Tuesday, but Wolves' 19-year-old midfielder Connor Ronan looked utterly stunned when Kevin De Bruyne asked for his match shirt.

The Irishman helped to force Man City to a penalty shootout and although Wolves didn't make it through, Ronan clearly made a positive impression on the Man City star.

We have since discovered there is an story of brotherly love behind the moment...

"My 13-year-old brother Josh is a City fan" Ronan told BBC Sport.

"He had mentioned to my Dad that he’d love it if I could get a shirt for him after the game. At full time I asked Kevin De Bruyne if we could swap and he said yes. He gave me his shirt and then asked me for mine as well which was a bit of a surprise but I was pleased to pass it on."

Ronan impressed plenty of fans on social media too:

  9. WHAT. A. GOAL.

Considering Borussia Dortmund's Raphael Guerreiro only returned to first-team football on Tuesday night having broken his foot in the summer on international duty, this ingenious backheel volley in training is something to behold...

Right in the top corner. Ridiculous.

If any Dortmund fans were worried it would take him a few months to get back to his usual sharp self, you can probably relax...

  10. England and Liverpool fans have no chill over Rhian Brewster...

    Rhian Brewster

A hat-trick from Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster sent England into the Under-17 World Cup final with a 3-1 win over Brazil and fans are being cool about it...

  11. David Villa is being 'out-dabbed' by his adorable son

    David Villa

Former Barcelona and Spain striker David Villa, who is now playing his socks off in the MLS, celebrated his two goals for New York FC on Monday by dabbing to the crowd.

Now, we ain't judging David, but at the age of 35, some may suggest you are a little, shall we say "wise" to be dabbing on the field of play. Leave it to the Jesse Lingards of this world...

However, he has since revealed on his Instagram the inspiration behind the celebration and it is a simple case of "Dad dancing".

His adorable son Luca seems to be a fan of the move as seen here:

    Luca Villa

As a World Cup winner and competitive dad, David has now turned it into a competition and has asked followers to vote on who does it better - him or his four-year-old son...

    David Villa

Sense is prevailing - Luca is in the lead.

  12. Palace's Souare threw his shirt to the fans but they didn't want it...

    pape souare

In the immediate aftermath of Crystal Palace's 4-1 defeat to Bristol City in last night's Carabao Cup, second-half substitute Pape Souare threw his shirt into the away end at Ashton Gate.

    A kind gesture, we think...

However, a Palace fan, so outraged by their team's performance, appeared to throw it back at him.

The Senegalese left-back had to trudge up to the shirt on the grass and carry it back to the dressing room.

Never mind Pape, Jason Puncheon's got your back.

*Honesty corner - Seems a real shame. Many young fans would be delighted with a player's shirt, no matter the result of the game.

  13. Park Ji-sung getting into Winter Olympic spirit...

    Park Ji-sung

We are only a few months away from the Winter Olympics and former Manchester United and South Korea midfielder Park Ji-sung is playing his part in the build-up to the Games.

Wearing a cosy-looking bobble hat and gloves, Park carried the flaming torch through part of ancient Olympia in Greece - the birthplace of the Games.

Yes, you heard us right, he was wearing a bobble hat and gloves in Greece.

The Winter Olympics start in February in Pyeongchang and we cannot wait - bring on the curling.

    Park Ji-sung

As an aside, the last we heard of Park was that he had enrolled at De Montfort University in Leicestershire and was studying for an international masters degree in management, law, and humanities of sport.

    So there.

  14. "Close your legs Arteta!"

Ohhhh, the shame of being nutmegged by your mate...

But when you are Mikel Arteta, (former Everton and Arsenal captain and now joint assistant coach of Manchester City), and you become a "nutmegee" THIS easily, it is a little more embarrassing.

The best bit? The sneaky "nutmegger" was City superstar striker Sergio Aguero.

Just to rub salt in the wound, he has posted it on Instagram, complete with a super slow-mo replay.

Watch everyone's reaction to the brilliant training ground moment...

    Pure joy.

It's not every day you get to play a round of golf with a three-time major winner...

Then again, it's not every day a three-time major winner gets to play a round of golf with a two-time NBA MVP and a former president of the United States.

Actual Barack Obama and Golden State Warriors point guard, actualStephen Curry, joined actualJordan Spieth for a quick 18 holes in Dallas, Texas on Monday.

If that wasn't cool enough, New England Patriots quarterback, actualTom Brady, commented on Spieth's Instagram snap:

To answer your question, Tom: Curry is reportedly a dab hand on the green, but unless there is a rule where you have to let the former president win, I am going to guess Jordan wiped the floor with this lot.

  16. The start of a beautiful friendship?

When a living legend of stage and screen meets a living legend of football...

Sir Patrick Stewart posted a picture of himself with Lionel Messi last night at the Fifa Best Awards in London.

The Barcelona striker looks delighted to be with Professor X/ Captain Jean-Luc Picard - maybe he is a sci-fi fan?

    View more on instagram

What we do know is that Patrick Stewart, aka PatStew, is a huge football fan and is incredibly vocal about his support for Huddersfield Town.

This was him when the Terriers were promoted to the Premier League last season:

And this was his reply to BBC West Yorkshire Sport when Huddersfield beat Manchester United 2-1 last weekend:

  17. Neymar: 'They threw baguettes at me!'

Image caption: The £200m-man received his second booking on 87 minutes after an "altercation" with Lucas Ocampos, who went down dramatically in front of the referee.

You may have seen Neymar being pelted by 'objects' from the crowd as he took corners during PSG's match against Marseille on Sunday.

On one occasion, he had to be shielded by police as he took a set-piece.

But the Brazillian has now said among the objects thrown were "baguettes, orange juice, coca-cola".

Perhaps the Marseille fans thought he looked a bit lacking in energy and wanted to perk him up a little? No?

Neymar was not best pleased with the "raining bread" situation, telling "I could have had lunch! It's not the way to go. It's the same as going to a restaurant and hitting the chef with a knife and fork."

  18. Mbappe is quite literally 2017's 'Golden Boy'

Paris St-Germain and France forward Kylian Mbappe has been named "Golden Boy 2017" - an award for the best European player under 21.

Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele, Manchester United's Marcus Rashford and Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus were all in the running for the award but, having taken his parent club Monaco to the Champions League semi-finals and the Ligue 1 titles last season, Mbappe was a clear winner.

    Kylian Mbappe

In case you are wondering, the 'Golden Boy' award was established by Italian sports newspaper Tuttosport in 2003. Journalists from there and 11 other European papers vote on who has been the most impressive player across the leagues.

Previous winners include Mbappe's PSG team-mates Neymar and Edinson Cavani and the likes of Lionel Messi, Wayne Rooney and Paul Pogba.

  19. 'Everton fans, we owe you an apology'

You may have seen this tweet from Everton's main shirt sponsor, Sportpesa after their 5-2 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday:

Awkwardly, SportPesa is also the official African betting partner of the Gunners which may explain the reaction.

Understandably Everton fans were a little disgruntled so the company have issued a heartfelt apology to the Goodison Park faithful.

They have said the tweet should "never have gone out" and will review their processes "to make sure this never happens again".

  20. Cardinals quarterback lost a bet so had to wear this for the pre-game warm-up...

We are starting to think Arizona Cardinals quarterback Drew Stanton just loves to dress up...

    Drew Stanton

As forfeit for losing the team's weekly quarterback skills competition, Stanton took to the field in a dashing Supergirl outfit. But it is not the first time he has "lost the bet".

This was Drew a couple of weeks ago in a slinky patriotic one-piece...

    Drew Stanton

And this was Drew back in 2016:

Like we said, we think he just loves dressing up.

Hey, no judgement from us Drew. You go live your life.
