That's it from me but if you fancy hopping over from one all-conquering team to another then follow the closing stages of Manchester City's game with Tottenham here.

    See ya!

  2. Post update

    Real Madrid 1-0 Gremio

That's Real Madrid's fifth trophy this year. Ridiculous.

It was not pretty, but they got the job done with that man Cristiano Ronaldo stepping up when needed.

  3. Post update

    Real Madrid 1-0 Gremio

Zinedine Zidane has won a trophy on average once every 14.37 games as Real Madrid manager. Wow!

  4. Post update

    Real Madrid 1-0 Gremio

The 90 minutes are up and there'll be three minutes of time added on.

Luka Modric powers a shot over as he continues his search for a goal.

  5. Post update

    Real Madrid 1-0 Gremio

Five minutes remaining in Abu Dhabi. It's hard to see Real Madrid not winning a third Club World Cup title.

If they do, it will be their third in total, equaling Barcelona's record.

  6. Post update

    Real Madrid 1-0 Gremio

The Wales forward hits the ball with outside of his boot and it looks to be heading in until Marcelo Grohe somehow tips behind.

  7. Post update

    Real Madrid 1-0 Gremio

Gareth Bale replaces Karim Benzema for the final 10 minutes. Bale has scored in every Club World Cup game he has played, will he keep up that record?

    Real Madrid 1-0 Gremio

Lucas Vazquez attempts to take the ball around Marcelo Grohe before tumbling over the keeper's outstretched hands. It looks like a dive and the referee agrees. No penalty.

Meanwhile, Gareth Bale is coming on...

  9. Post update

    Real Madrid 1-0 Gremio

Can Karim Benzema get a goal? He has the chance from just inside the area but his clipped effort lacks power and Marcelo Grohe has an easy save.

    Real Madrid 1-0 Gremio

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane makes his first change with 20 minutes remaining. Lucas Vazquez is on for Isco.

  11. Post update

    Real Madrid 1-0 Gremio

A rare break forward by Gremio. They find themselves three on three but a tremendously wayward pass just inside the box sees the promising opportunity brought to a disappointing end.

    Real Madrid 1-0 Gremio

Luka Modric has been superb today, the best player on the pitch by far, and he goes close to a deserved goal with a dipping effort from the edge of the box but keeper Marcelo Grohe gets across to make the save, pushing the ball onto the post.

    Real Madrid 1-0 Gremio

A change for Gremio as they look to find a way back into this game. As good as they were defensively they have offered almost no attacking threat.

Striker Jael comes on for Lucas Barrios.

    Real Madrid 1-0 Gremio

    It's all Real Madrid now.

Cristiano Ronaldo sticks the ball into the back of the net, he wheels away to celebrate but the linesman has his flag up. Offside.

Ronaldo then attempts a cheeky backheel after good work by Karim Benzema but he fails to find the target.

  15. Post update

    Real Madrid 1-0 Gremio

That will come as massive relief for Real Madrid and they now appear to be playing with a bit more freedom. Gremio's gameplan has gone out of the window so it will be interesting to see what they do now.

  16. GOAL - Real Madrid 1-0 Gremio

    Cristiano Ronaldo (53 mins)

Well, you can go ahead and ignore what I just said below!

It's absolute trademark Cristiano Ronaldo as he wins a free-kick about five yards outside the Gremio box, picks himself up and he curls the ball into the back of the net with the keeper unable to get to it.

    Real have the lead.

  17. CLOSE!

    Real Madrid 0-0 Gremio

Cristiano Ronaldo picks up the ball 30 yards from goal, shrugs off a Gremio player and then absolutely hammers a shot at goal... wide. He clenches his teeth in frustration.

It feels like a scrappy goal is going to win this one, but I wouldn't like to call which side will get it.

Real's players are starting to get increasingly frustrated.
