West Ham 2-0 Watford

Three additional minutes. Watford are all but beaten.

SUBSTITUTION

West Ham 2-0 Watford

A home debut for Jordan Hugill and a standing ovation for Javier Hernandez as he departs.

Patrice Evra will have to wait to make his Hammers debut as David Moyes has used all three substitutes after Declan Rice replaced Arnautovic.

West Ham 2-0 Watford

It's around six hours since Watford's travelling fans last saw their side score away from home.

'Terrible defending from Watford'

West Ham 2-0 Watford

Leon Osman

Former Everton midfielder on Final Score

It was terrible defending from Watford, the two centre-halves just allow Marko Arnautovic to wander into the box, they leave him unmarked, and when the ball falls to him, it's easier for him to score than miss.

GOAL - West Ham 2-0 Watford

Marko Arnautovic

Marko Arnautovic gets the goal his work-rate thoroughly deserves after a fine individual performance.

It's a simple tap-in after watford keeper Orestis Karnezis spills a cross.

Watford are heading for defeat despite a decent second half showing.

SUBSTITUTION

West Ham 1-0 Watford

Dodi Lukebakio is on for Watford in place of Gerard Deulofeu.

No sign of Patrice Evra for West Ham.

CLOSE!

West Ham 1-0 Watford

How is it not 2-0?

Javier Hernandez is clean through and cuts inside but Orestis Karnezis keeps his composure and smoothers the danger before Marko Arnautovic can tap home.

West Ham 1-0 Watford

A vital headed clearance by James Collins. Pablo Zabalata goes down after a challenge and takes an age to climb to his feet allowing his team-mates some breathing space.

West Ham 1-0 Watford

Watford are hammering at West Ham's door. The hosts are looking fragile despite their lead and need a second goal. Daryl Janmaat's crosses are causing chaos.

West Ham 1-0 Watford

Around half an hour remaining. Watford have had 57% possession but West Ham have the lead.

Bayo Omisore: Michail Antonio is a fantastic footballer. I can't see why he’s not in the England team. So underrated, in my opinion.

West Ham 1-0 Watford

Gerard Deulofeu goes for glory from a free-kick and brings a tidy save from Adrian. Watford are far from finished.

SUBSTITUTION

West Ham 1-0 Watford

Marvin Zeegelaar's uncomfortable afternoon is over as Watford introduce Roberto Pereyra - the first change by the visitors.

West Ham 1-0 Watford

Marko Arnautovic has been impressive for the Hammers. He produces another super run which results in a corner and another huge roar from West Ham's fans

West Ham 1-0 Watford

Totally wasted by Gerard Deulofeu who fires straight into the claret and blue wall. Deary me. That was awful.

West Ham 1-0 Watford

The Hornets are straight out of the blocks and Troy Deeney is fouled just outside the West Ham penalty area.

Big chance for Watford.

KICK-OFF

West Ham 1-0 Watford

Will Watford rescue this?

We're back under way.

HALF-TIME

West Ham 1-0 Watford

A decent 45 minutes by the Hammers. Watford have work to do.

West Ham 1-0 Watford

Watford have had 56% possession but Adrian Mariappa's header, which produced a smart save, is the closest they have come.

West Ham 1-0 Watford

Watford can have few complaints.

The hosts have had a disallowed goal and a decent penalty shout before Javier Hernandez's seventh Premier League goal of the season.

'Tidy finish from Hernandez'

West Ham 1-0 Watford

Leon Osman

Former Everton midfielder on Final Score

Michail Antonio has had three or four great runs down the right and he's got crosses in, but no-ones been there for him. That time Javier Hernandez has latched onto it, and it's a very tidy finish.

GOAL - West Ham 1-0 Watford

Javier Hernandez

At last West Ham have the breakthough!

Javier Hernandez is left totally unmarked to head the hosts ahead moments after a big miss by Marko Arnautovic.

Marvin Zeegelaar won't want to see that again. The Watford player slipped allowing Hernandez a free header.

West Ham 0-0 Watford

This isn't a boring 0-0.

Etienne Capoue almost embarrasses Adrian from 25 yards but the West Ham keeper recovers after spilling the shot.

West Ham 0-0 Watford

West Ham have the ball in the back of the net...but it's ruled out for offside.

It's a close call as Javier Hernandez powers Joao Mario's free-kick home.

A chorus of jeers break out from the home ends.

I think we're going to be seeing that again on Match of the Day later.

West Ham 0-0 Watford

After those early chances and penalty shout, this game has lost some of its fizz.

The Hammers look the more likely to score but this has descended into a typical mid-table tussle littered with niggly fouls.

'Watford must get credit for beating Chelsea'

West Ham 0-0 Watford

Mark Schwarzer

Ex-Chelsea keeper on Final Score

You've got to give credit to Watford for beating Chelsea - Watford did well. And when it was 1-1 Chelsea were very much in the game, but again to Watford's credit, they came again and scored the extra goals.

I think it would have been a different story had Chelsea had 11 players on the field, but nonetheless, it's a very good win from Watford and they'll look to build on that today against West Ham.

West Ham 0-0 Watford

Watford have scored just three times in the past seven away games. How costly will that missed chance by Adrian Mariappa prove?

West Ham 0-0 Watford

Both sides should have scored but it remains goalless at the 20 minute mark.

Very little to choose between the two sides.

West Ham 0-0 Watford

This is bubbling nicely and West Ham are enjoying a decent spell of possession.

Orestis Karnezis saves from Joao Mario as Watford's defence struggles to clear.

West Ham 0-0 Watford

West Ham want a penalty as Adrian Mariappa clatters into Marko Arnautovic but referee Graham Scott, who is in a great position, is not interested.

Arnautovic glided past a couple of yellow shirts as if they weren't there before Mariappa catches his ankle.

GREAT SAVE!

West Ham 0-0 Watford

First decent effort comes from Adrian Mariappa who flings himself at a cross after a short corner. Adrian is equal to it but that's a warning sign for West Ham.

West Ham 0-0 Watford

Decent from Marko Arnautovic who has made a bright start on his return to the West Ham side after a hamstring injury.

He whips in a decent cross which gives Hornets keeper Orestis Karnezis his first test.

West Ham 0-0 Watford

Untidy start. West Ham have lost possession a number of times in the opening exchanges while Watford have yet to get going.

One positive for the hosts in the shape of Pablo Zabaleta who has made a couple of decent challenges.

KICK-OFF

West Ham 0-0 Watford

Off we go...

David Moyes' first game in charge of West Ham was a 2-0 defeat at Watford in November.

He needs a win here...we're almost ready to go.

"I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles" booms out of the speakers at the London Stadium.

Here come the teams...

'Chelsea win has given us more motivation'

Watford

Will Watford send another team from the capital packing?

The Hornets scored three times in the last six minutes to hammer 10-man Chelsea 4-1 on Monday.

"I know how we got those points - running a lot, and working a lot - and I think this is the key to the future," said Watford's head coach Javi Gracia.

"The last match gave us motivation, more credibility. We believe more in our work, and it is better for us but we know if we don't work and don't run we will not win."

Sullivan hopes Moyes stays

West Ham United

David Sullivan hopes David Moyes stays as West Ham manager for "many years".

Moyes has only been in charge since November but speculation has started to mount as to whether or not Moyes will stay on at London Stadium.

The Hammers are still not safe from the drop - they are three points above the bottom three - but Sullivan is backing his manager, saying: "What I like is, he is very hard-working. You see him at grounds watching games. He puts a long shift in at the training ground. The harder you work, the better the results.

"He's a good manager and will prove it. I hope he stays with us for many, many years and achieves things and wins things."

How quickly things change

A glance at the league table may suggest that this is a mid-table game - 11th against 12th - but the reality is that there is no mid-table: the scramble to stay up is consuming more than half of the top-flight's managers.

Watford's win over Chelsea on Monday night has given them some breathing space, and Javi Gracia - the 11th manager in the six years of the Pozzo family's ownership - an early landmark result.

The reverse fixture back in November was David Moyes' first game as West Ham manager. Back then, Watford were eighth and warding off Everton's interest in Marco Silva, whilst West Ham were 18th.

How quickly things change.
