'It's a score nobody wants'

Swansea City manager Carlos Carvalhal speaking to BT Sport:

Well received on return to Hillsborough: "Let me say thank you to the way the fans received me, the players and the staff. It's the nice part of football and the football I dream of. I'm very happy, very proud to say thank you for one more time."

Unwanted replay: "It's a score nobody wants. I also believe [that's the case] for Sheffield Wednesday - the same one more game. Maybe in the future we can think that if the managers and referee agree after the first game we can go to penalties and we can finish the game today.

"I believe if you had asked us and the Sheffield Wednesday manager, we'd have gone to penalties."

'We were under the cosh'

"Not a lot really, I just saw the ball coming and tried to make myself as big as possible and get a hand to it.

Local hero?

"The lads in front of me were brilliant. We were under the cosh but ground it out and we're still alive. Being a local lad, it's always a great feeling to walk out here at Hillsborough."

'A draw a fair result'

Sheffield Wednesday manager Jos Luhukay: "We didn't want a replay because we have so many games and lots of injuries. But we are still in the FA Cup and have a chance to get to the next round.

"First half we were the better team and in the second half Swansea were better so in the end it is a draw which both teams must enjoy.

"I'm proud of my team. We played the first 25-30 minutes good and we were direct from the beginning. The first half we played good football but couldn't score a goal.

"We have a difficult situation and a very small team now (because of injuries). Most of the time it is difficult, getting 20 players day to day but we have positive thinking."

'We made it harder than they thought'

Sheffield Wednesday skipper Adam Reach, speaking to BT Sport: "We're still alive. I thought we did outstanding today against a Premier League team.

"We had chances, couldn't take them but we're still in the cup.

"We kept a clean sheet, I thought we caused them problems and we can take that into the replay. I don't think Swansea thought it was going to be as difficult as it was today."

The replay is right after taking a Premier League team to 0-0 in an FA Cup game.

There weren't many chances but Sheffield Wednesday fans have seen their players put everything into this game.

I have been really impressed by Adam Reach, and the effort put in by the defence, they didn't switch off for a second.

It would have been a travesty if Wednesday hadn't had a replay out of this.

What it does mean is that Swansea continue their impressive recent form under Carlos Carvalhal. Swansea are now unbeaten in 10 games in all competitions - a feat they've not managed since a run of 11 in November 2009.

Carlos Carvalhal marches onto the pitch to clap all four sides of Hillsborough after a draw which, at times promised much, but ultimately delivered little.

Oh! Ah! Wednesday almost nick it!! Adam Reach pops up in acres on the right, drilling low across goal to Lucas Joao who looks certain to tap in at the far post. But Swans skipper Kyle Bartley gets a size 10 in the way to deny the Wednesday sub. Oh, Joao was offside anyway as it turns out.

With the work-rate and effort, they are the team that want it more and they deserve to be in this game.
