    Until then.

  2. Pogba is having a normal dip in form

    Huddersfield 0-2 Man Utd

    Steve McClaren

Ex-England manager on BBC Radio 5 live

Pogba is a player who was finding his feet last season in the Premier League.

The start of this season I thought he was United's best player. But when you come back from an injury you are either on fire straight away or it takes a few games.

He's having a dip and that's all he's having. He's not happy with his performances. It's normal and natural.

He's out of form coming back from injury - that's it. This happens all the time.

Mourinho is taking control of the situation.

  3. 'Pogba was in the team'

    Huddersfield Town 0-2 Man Utd

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho speaking to BBC MOTD:

    On Paul Pogba facing Sevilla:

“I don’t know, I didn’t see him. Yesterday he was working normally with us. We prepared for the game, we gave the last touches in the tactical, positional play, we gave the last touches on the set-plays and I told the players the team.

"He was in the team but this morning he was not feeling right to play. So he’s ill and now we have to wait to see what is going on.”

  4. 'Maybe the linesman was right and not the studio'

    Huddersfield Town 0-2 Man Utd

    Manchester United

More from Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho speaking to BBC MOTD:

"I prepared myself during the week to control my emotions in relation to a similar situation to the one that happened. You score a goal, you have some doubts over to celebrate or not celebrate. Are you happy or not happy? I was not happy the moment I saw Kevin Friend touching the earpiece, I knew something was going on. That doubt is not the best feeling.

"If the decision is right I am super happy with that if it goes against me."

    The correct decision:

"I don’t know. I just heard a few comments. If the decision goes against my team but is the right decision I am very happy with that because what I want is the truth and sometimes it goes against my team and sometimes in my teams favour. But I heard comments that maybe the linesman was right and not the studio.

"I think it’s an experimental period. In Portugal we have it in every match. I’m quite familiar with what the VAR is bringing that’s good and bad. They have to kill the bad and make it perfect."

  14. 'Cold in front of the keeper'

    Huddersfield Town 0-2 Man Utd

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho speaking to BBC MOTD:

"We knew that it would be difficult. It was hard but we started really well. With that second goal in the second half I think we killed the game and from that moment we were in control.

    Clinical in front of goal:

"Good counter-attacks, twice attacking the space well. Twice cold in front of the keeper, good decisions, good shots, good goals, important goals from us."

  16. 'It was not a very clear decision against us'

    Huddersfield 0-2 Man utd

    Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata speaking to BBC MOTD:

"It was important to get through and get to quarter final and obviously our aim is to try to get to Wembley and win this cup again."

    On the disallowed VAR goal:

"On the pitch I didn’t know if I was offside or not because it was I think the line was very tight. I did what I had to do which was to score and celebrated. Then after I saw the referee speaking to someone and you look silly when the goal is denied.

"I’m up for VAR and I think it is good for football especially to make important decisions and make it a little bit fairer but it seems like today it was not a very clear the decision against us and me. The good thing was that it was not needed [the goal] because we won anyway but I think we all wished it was quicker. I celebrated and it didn’t count."

  17. 'VAR kills the emotion of the game'

    Huddersfield 0-2 Man Utd

    Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield boss David Wagner on VAR: "When the referee made his decision, however the decision will be I don't like it.

"Yes, the decision went in our favour but this VAR for me kills the emotion of the game. This is why I don't like it but I am not the person who makes the decision."

  18. 'Delighted with our performance'

    Huddersfield 0-2 Man Utd

    Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield boss David Wagner, speaking to BBC Sport: "Disappointing result. I think Manchester United deserved to win because they scored two goals and we did not use our opportunities. The players were brilliant, they played well. They maybe controlled the game but two times top, top quality means you have lost the game. The boys have done very, very well.

"I am delighted about the whole performance over 90 minutes. The players never gave up, they always tried, we wanted to press them and be in their face. Nothing really went in our favour and Manchester United showed their quality in two situations.

"This is another game which gives the dressing room a lift. A great performance against Manchester United and we will always be focused on our performances. We are in a very good moment, even if we lost today.

"Next we have West Brom and we will try everything to perform like we have today. The biggest problem for the players is they have shown the performance bar that we like to confirm every single game."
