  1. Thanks and goodbye

    Huddersfield Town 0-3 Chelsea

And that is where we will end this live page on a fine start to Premier League life for Maurizio Sarri.

Until next time, bye for now.

  2. Sarri's Chelsea too good for Huddersfield - read the report

    Huddersfield Town 0-3 Chelsea

    Chelsea goal

Maurizio Sarri made a winning start as a Premier League manager as his Chelsea side produced a dominant performance to win at Huddersfield Town.

Sarri, who became the club's 10th full-time manager in 10 years when he replaced the sacked Antonio Conte in the summer, saw his side take the lead with their first shot on target.

It came in the 34th minute when N'Golo Kante's mis-hit strike from Willian's cross bounced past Huddersfield goalkeeper Ben Hamer.

Jorginho followed Sarri from Napoli to Chelsea in the summer and the midfielder doubled the Blues' lead when he converted a penalty after Christopher Schindler fouled Marcos Alonso.

Pedro sealed a comfortable win with a cool, chipped finish for Chelsea's third after being played in by substitute Eden Hazard.

Before the second goal, the Terriers had hit a post through Steve Mounie's header, but it was to be Sarri's and Chelsea's day.

    Huddersfield Town 0-3 Chelsea

A perfect start for Maurizo Sarri and Chelsea. Goals from N'Golo Kante, a Jorginho penalty and Pedro give Chelsea a much deserved win over Huddersfield.

The Terriers never looked like getting back into it in the second half and Chelsea cruised to the three points.

  4. Post update

    Huddersfield Town 0-3 Chelsea

Chelsea could do with an Alvaro Morata goal, but his goal-bound strike goes away for a corner, which comes to nothing.

  5. Three again

    Huddersfield 0-3 Chelsea

    Simon Stone

BBC Sport at the John Smiths Stadium

Chelsea scored three on their trip to Huddersfield last season, although on that occasion the Terriers managed a consolation.

It's worth remembering the Blues have a bizarre record in recent seasons.

Won the title, finished 10th - manager sacked, won the title, finished fifth - manager sacked. Bit early to think about the Premier League but this has been a very good start for Maurizio Sarri.

Neil Emery: What does @nglkante eat for breakfast ? He never stops running.

Amir Hamza: Please Hazard calm down! Madrid is watching!

  7. Post update

    Huddersfield Town 0-3 Chelsea

Not this time. Hazard's free-kick is straight at the wall and the chance is wasted.

  8. Post update

    Huddersfield Town 0-3 Chelsea

Hazard runs at the home defence and wins a free-kick on the edge of the box. This could soon be four.

  9. GOAL - Huddersfield Town 0-3 Chelsea

    Pedro (Chelsea)

A lovely breakaway goal. Eden Hazard leads the charge and Huddersfield, pushing to get back in the game, are left short at the back and the Belgian slides it to Pedro.

The Spaniard lofts the ball over the advancing Ben Hamer with a lovely finish. Three nil, three points for Chelsea, game over.

  10. Lots going on but....

    Huddersfield Town 0-2 Chelsea

    Simon Stone

BBC Sport at the John Smiths Stadium

There has been a lot of action around the Chelsea goal but their new keeper Kepa has not had to make a single save of any note.

It is more a case of keep concentration and don't make any silly mistakes.

Virtually a perfect debut. So far at least.

    Chelsea Kepa

    Huddersfield Town 0-2 Chelsea

Two-nil down, if you're a Huddersfield fan you don't really want to see Eden Hazard coming on, but that's what Chelsea can do. Willian, who made the first goal of the afternoon, is the man hooked.

    Eden Hazard
  12. Post update

    Huddersfield Town 0-2 Chelsea

A better spell from Huddersfield, but still not able to create much. Laurent Depoitre has a half-chance when he is free from a pull back and he is free 15 yards out, but he leans back and skies it well over the top.

  13. Post update

    Huddersfield Town 0-2 Chelsea

Philip Billing heads at goal at the back post, it looks like Kepa pushes it over the top, but referee Chris Kavanagh dismisses the calls for a home corner.

  14. Post update

    Huddersfield Town 0-2 Chelsea

Winger Adama Diakhaby, who joined Huddersfield for 10m euros from Monaco, makes his competitive Huddersfield debut and Chris Lowe comes off. An attacking move, and a much-needed attempt to spark this game back into life for Huddersfield.

  15. Post update

    Huddersfield Town 0-2 Chelsea

Huddersfield have not been in the races in this second half. Looking very routine this at the moment for Chelsea.

  16. YELLOW CARD - Luiz

    Huddersfield Town 0-2 Chelsea

A pull of the shirt on the turning Laurent Depoitre brings about a yellow card for David Luiz. There should be no complaints. But he complains anyway.

    David Luiz yellow card

    Huddersfield Town 0-2 Chelsea

England's Ruben Loftus-Cheek comes on for Ross Barkley, a player who desperately wants to get back in the England fold.

Remember, Loftus-Cheek spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace, so this is a good chance for him to impress the new boss and show everyone at the club what he can do.

Juho Hankela: The defenders along with two defensive midfielders are Chelsea's most dangerous players going forward.

  19. CLOSE!

    Huddersfield Town 0-2 Chelsea

Well, David Luiz was interested, I wasn't lying. But instead it is Marcos Alonso who curls it and whips the free-kick, but just over the bar. Alonso has been one of a number of Chelsea players who have impressed today.
