  1. What are we waiting for?

Danny Ings to Southampton looks like it is ON.

We are also waiting for confirmation from Fulham for £22.3m man Andre-Frank Anguissa from Marseille and a loan deal for Timothy Fosu-Mensah from Manchester United.

There was chat about Everton filing a deal sheet for Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma, but that one is yet to be firmed up.

    Stay with us.

  2. 'Grealish would have been outstanding for Spurs'

    Michael Appleton

Ex-Leicester City assistant manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

From a player’s point of view to see a new face gives the squad a lift, new competition for some players. Jack Grealish, whatever price tag on his heads, he would’ve been worth it.

He would have been an outstanding signing, a player we should be looking at and pushing as far as they can.

  3. Grealish stays

    View more on twitter

Grealish was linked with a move to Tottenham, but he stays at Villa Park and it is time to knuckle down for the new season.

  4. Post update

What a rollercoaster of emotions that would have been for Domingos Quina.

Could have been team-mates with Lionel Messi, but will end up playing alongside Tom Cleverley.

  5. BreakingWatford sign Quina from West Ham

    View more on twitter

The 18-year-old was linked with Barcelona but has signed a four-year deal at Vicarage Road.

  6. Post update

Watford have brought in a player and it's a surprising deal...

  7. Another Fulham signing

They have brought in three players already today but I am told Fulham will confirm the loan signing of Timothy Fosu-Mensah from Manchester United shortly.

  8. Post update

    "Should go through".

What time are we staying up til to find out?

  9. 'Where will Everton's goals come from?'

    Pat Nevin

Former Scotland winger at Turf Moor on BBC Radio 5 live

The question with Everton is, who is going to score the goals?

There are lots of creative players, we’ll probably see more from Gylfi Sigurdsson. Cenk Tosun scored some goals late last season, will he keep it going?

It is easy to say go and get a striker, to get strikers in the Premier League, these days we’re talking £80m or so.

  10. Vardy signs new Leicester deal

    Leicester City

    Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy

    Best deal of the day?

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has signed a new four-year deal with the 2016 Premier League champions.

The 31-year-old has scored 88 goals for the Foxes since moving to the King Power from Fleetwood Town in 2012.

"Everybody knows how I feel about playing for this club," said Vardy, who added that his time with Leicester has been an "incredible journey".

"It's a great feeling to know that I can look forward to another four years as a Leicester City player."

  11. Ayew joins Palace

    Crystal Palace

Striker Jordan Ayew has joined Crystal Palace from Swansea on a season-long loan deal.

Ayew, 26, joined Swansea from Aston Villa in 2017 and was top scorer for the club last season with 11 goals.

The Ghana forward had refused to train with the Championship club, who were relegated from the Premier League in May.

  12. Mina a massive buy

    Pat Nevin

Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 live

It was defenders Everton needed and Mina is a massive buy, and I’m not just saying that because he’s 6’5. He scores goals too. A massive addition, they’ve had the same centre halves for quite a while.

  13. Tune in

    BBC Radio 5 live

The transfer window is closed and we now reflect on the winners and losers of the summer.

Tune in to BBC Radio 5 live to listen to the discussion involving former Liverpool full-back Stephen Warnock, ex-Leicester assistant Michael Appleton and former Scotland winger Pat Nevin.

  14. Post update

Still waiting on confirmation from Fulham on a deal for Marseille midfielder Andre-Frank Anguissa... a £22.3m deal.

  15. BreakingFulham sign Vietto

    View more on twitter

That is a season-long loan deal.

The Cottagers have done some decent business.

  16. Post update

    Nice one Tom.

And the signings keep on coming...

  17. Post update

We still await more deals but I'm off home - Shamoon Hafez will steer you into the night...

  18. BreakingBrighton get Montoya

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton have signed 27-year-old right-back Martin Montoya from Valencia.

The former Barcelona and Inter Milan defender has agreed a four-year contract.

Manager Chris Hughton said, “Martin’s pedigree is excellent, and I’m delighted we have been able to add a player of his standing to our squad. There is no doubt he will improve our options in the right-back position."

  19. Post update

Just the two hours past deadline now...
