Last chance for a goal here. In comes a Cardiff free-kick but Bruno Ecuele Manga blazes over. That could have been a glorious smash and grab.
Crikey what a finish.

GREAT SAVE!
Crystal Palace 0-0 Cardiff City
Almost smash and grab time. Cardiff's Kadeem Harris reacts first to a half cleared ball from Mamadou Sakho but Vicente Guaita brilliantly blocks from about 8 yards.
HITS THE WOODWORK
Crystal Palace 0-0 Cardiff City
So close. But no again no cigar. Luka Milivojevic's has a free-kick for Palace 20 yards out. He executes it wonderfully well but the ball cannons back of the post.

After those earlier missed Crystal Palace chances...dare I suggest Cardiff are starting to look comfortable now....

Is that a little rash from Cardiff's Junior Hoilett on Wilfried Zaha? Not really.
Zaha isn't happy but it looked nothing more than a coming together. Hoilett is on a yellow card though so needs to be careful.

It's just not happening for Crystal Palace.
Connor Wickham is the latest player to go close, smashing wide from close range.

Crystal Palace bang on top here. Wilfried Zaha and James McArthur both going close in the last few moments. Both guilty of getting under the ball though when well placed.
SUBSTITUTION
Crystal Palace 0-0 Cardiff City
Here comes Connor Wickham for Crystal Palace to replace Max Meyer. It's over two years since he last featured at Selhurst Park after rupturing his cruciate against Swansea City in November 2016.

Cardiff's Joe Bennett and Wilfried Zaha are just having a little talking to from referee Lee Probert.
There was a little bit of pushing and shoving off the ball..but it's all quiet again now with no cards produced.

Brilliant from Wilfried Zaha. His control takes two Cardiff defenders out of the game before he releases Max Meyer.
The German can't keep his balance though and fires a left foot shot over from the edge of the Cardiff penalty area, perhaps he was conscious of the looming presence of Sol Bamba.

How did he miss? Just hit the target man.
Sean Morrison's mis-kick presents a golden chance for Palace midfielder Cheik Kouyate. He's six yards out but he blazes the ball well over the bar.
No idea how he did that. Big, big chance. Optimism level slowly falling.

Crystal Palace 0-0 Cardiff City
Roy Hodgson's four Boxing Day matches in the Premier League have all ended 0-0.
Still plenty of time left before my early optimism plummets.

That's two shots on target today for Cardiff's Junior Hoilett but this one is tame. No trouble at all for the home keeper Vicente Guaita.
That was a promising position though with the Crystal Palace defence all at sea. A poor first touch just let the forward down though.
