Almost smash and grab time. Cardiff's Kadeem Harris reacts first to a half cleared ball from Mamadou Sakho but Vicente Guaita brilliantly blocks from about 8 yards.

HITS THE WOODWORK

So close. But no again no cigar. Luka Milivojevic's has a free-kick for Palace 20 yards out. He executes it wonderfully well but the ball cannons back of the post.

After those earlier missed Crystal Palace chances...dare I suggest Cardiff are starting to look comfortable now....

Is that a little rash from Cardiff's Junior Hoilett on Wilfried Zaha? Not really.

Zaha isn't happy but it looked nothing more than a coming together. Hoilett is on a yellow card though so needs to be careful.

It's just not happening for Crystal Palace.

The German can't keep his balance though and fires a left foot shot over from the edge of the Cardiff penalty area, perhaps he was conscious of the looming presence of Sol Bamba.
