  4. Damage limitation for Warrenpoint - Major

    Warrenpoint Town 0-2 Linfield

Quote Message: Warrenpoint will try to keep the score down in the second half while David Healy will want his Linfield team to put the hosts to the sword. Linfield have been very impressive defensively and I think Healy will freshen things up. from Philip Major Sportsound summariser

Quote Message: Goals by Ryan Curran and Joe Gormley have the Reds in control. Institute had a chance to pull a goal back but keeper Richard Brush made a fine double save to deny Jamie Dunne. Apart from that, and Cliftonville's goals, there have not been too many chances from Emma Patterson BBC Sport NI reporter at Solitude

  9. McCarey to Town's rescue

    Warrenpoint Town 0-2 Linfield

Adam McCarey is having a busy debut for Warrenpoint Town and the former Wolves keeper is at full stretch to tip over a Daniel Kearns header.

  10. GOAL

    Warrenpoint Town 0-2 Linfield

Daniel Kearns heads in to double Linfield's lead on 36 minutes. Andrew Mitchell floats in a free-kick and Jimmy Callacher's knock-down sets up the midfielder to nod in from close range.

It's reward for Linfield's dominance and it is a big ask now for Warrenpoint to get something out of the game.

  11. GOAL

    Glentoran 2-0 Newry City

Two goals in three minutes for the Glens as Robbie McDaid scores at the second attempt to double Glentoran's lead.

Marcus Kane set Curtis Allen free and, when he squared the ball across, McDaid bundled in off the post for his third of the season.

  12. GOAL

    Glentoran 1-0 Newry City

Curtis Allen scores in the 29th minute, shooting past City keeper Andy Coleman after a delightful flick-on by John McGuigan.

Goal number four of the season for striker Allen.

  13. Morris milestone

    Glentoran 0-0 Newry City

Last week goalkeeper Elliott Morris made his 700th Glentoran appearance in a match away to Glenavon.

To mark the achievement, Morris received a memento from the east Belfast club before tonight's home match against Newry.

Doing the honours, none other than Alan Paterson, another Oval goalkeeping legend who made 517 appearances for the Glens.

  16. CLOSE!

    Warrenpoint Town 0-1 Linfield

Michael O'Connor almost doubles Linfield's lead as he pounces on a Simon Kelly mistake before seeing his shot saved by Town keeper Adam McCarey. The ball is then cleared off the line from the resulting corner.

It followed a good response to going behind from the hosts as they threatened a quick equaliser.

  17. GOAL

    Cliftonville 2-0 Institute

Joe Gormley doubles the Reds' lead by scoring on nine minutes, shoooting his fourth goal of the season from Jay Donnelly's pull back.

Barry Gray's men in the driving seat here and it could be a long night for Newry City.

  18. GOAL

    Cliftonville 1-0 Institute

Ryan Curran shoots the hosts into a sixth-minute lead at Solitude.

This is exactly the start home boss Barry Gray would have demanded, with a smidgen of early-season pressure on his side after just one win from their opening five.

It all started from a throw and the ball came off Dean Curry, falling for former Ballinamallard forward Curran to make the early breakthrough.

  19. GOAL

    Warrenpoint Town 0-1 Linfield

Linfield strike early thanks to an own goal from Simon Kelly. Kirk Millar fired in a low free-kick and Kelly turned the ball past Town debutant Adam McCarey and into the net.

It's a nightmare start for the basement team as they seek a first point of the season while the Blues are on course for top spot.
