  1. Until tomorrow...

That's it for tonight's EFL coverage, with Leeds still flying high at the Championship's summit. We'll see you again tomorrow. Thanks for joining us.

In the meantime, reaction to tonight's Champions League ties continues here. Enjoy.

  2. Still to come....

Wednesday sees five more games in the Championship with implications at both ends of the table.

Middlesbrough can keep up the pressure on the top spots with a win over Bolton, while Nottingham Forest will hope to add to their one win this season - although if you like the pools, their five draws from seven games is the joint-highest in the EFL along with Birmingham City.

The struggling Blues look for their first win of the season when they go to high-flying Sheffield United while QPR host Millwall in a London derby at the wrong end of the table.

    • Middlesbrough v Bolton Wanderers (19:45 BST)
    • Nottingham Forest v Sheffield Wednesday (19:45 BST)
    • Queens Park Rangers v Millwall (19:45 BST)
    • Sheffield United v Birmingham City (19:45 BST)
    • Reading v Norwich City (20:00 BST)
  3. Ipswich still winless

    FT: Ipswich 1-1 Brentford

There is not much change at the bottom, but Preston and Ipswich remain in the bottom three.

    The Tractor Boys remain winless.

QPR host Millwall tomorrow, while Birmingham go to Sheffield United and Reading entertain Norwich,

    Bottom of Championship
  4. Leeds stretch lead

    FT: Leeds 3-0 Preston

Here's how tonight's results have affected the top of the Championship...

    Championship table

Leeds United stretch their lead to three points after they beat Preston and Brentford could only draw at Ipswich.

West Brom move up to third after beating Bristol City while Aston Villa's win over Rotherham moves them into the top six.

  5. FULL-TIME

    Stoke 1-0 Swansea

Stoke hold on for their second win of the Championship season at a very rainy Bet 365 Stadium.

In the process, they consign Swansea to their second defeat in the league.

However, Swans boss Graham Potter can have complaints over Joe Allen's winner, with replays showing the Welshman was offside.

  6. FULL-TIME

    West Brom 4-2 Bristol City

The Baggies see it out to go third in the Championship.

West Brom are the top scorers in the league, and four tonight takes them to 20 goals from eight league games.

Bristol City's four-match winning run comes to an end.

  7. GREAT SAVE!

    Stoke 1-0 Swansea

Oli McBurnie flicks up a powerful pass towards him, turns, and lashes a volley goalwards which Stoke keeper Jack Butland can only tip over.

    Great improvisation from the striker.

From the resulting corner, Mike van der Hoorn sends a header over the Potters bar.

Three more minutes of injury time to go.

  8. Post update

    West Brom 4-2 Bristol City

West Brom are looking to close out the game and halt any momentum for the Robins.

They have less than two minutes plus stoppage time to hang on.

  9. Post update

    Stoke 1-0 Swansea

    Tom Ince

Tom Ince spurns another chance to make it 2-0.

Benik Afobe crosses from the left and the winger is unmarked as he meets the ball 12 yards out.

But Ince gets under it and sends his effort well over the bar.

  10. Post update

    FT: Leeds 3-0 Preston

So, after Brentford's draw, Leeds will be extending their lead at the top of the table tonight unless Bristol City can mount a dramatic late comeback at West Brom.

  11. YELLOW CARD

    Stoke 1-0 Swansea

Tempers fraying at Stoke, as Swansea striker Oli McBurnie goes into the book for a shove on Erik Pieters.

The visitors have less than 10 minutes to get back into the game.

  12. FULL-TIME

    Wigan 2-1 Hull

Wigan hang on to take the three points and bounce back from defeat at Brentford at the weekend.

  13. FULL-TIME

    Ipswich 1-1 Brentford

    Paul Hurst

Ipswich's wait for a first win of the season continues, but the Tractor Boys were much improved after the break.

The Bees have still lost just once this season, but they miss the chance to remain one point behind Championship leaders Leeds.

  14. FULL-TIME

    Aston Villa 2-0 Rotherham

Villa get their first league win in six matches as Tammy Abraham and Yannick Bolasie both get off the mark for the hosts.

  15. Post update

    Ipswich 1-1 Brentford

A late chance for the Tractor Boys as Kayden Jackson is played through on goal in the first minute of stoppage time.

He bursts into the box but, from the angle, can only pick out the stanchion behind the goal.

  16. FULL-TIME

    Leeds 3-0 Preston

Leeds were classy once again and they remaining top, unbeaten after eight games.

    Preston have plenty to ponder...

  17. FULL-TIME

    Derby 0-0 Blackburn

Not a game to write home about overall, although it's the first 0-0 draw of Derby boss Frank Lampard's managerial career. There's an obscure future pub quiz answer for you.

The Rams had the better chances though and they'll be frustrated not to have won this one.

  18. Post update

    Wigan 2-1 Hull

Another great save from Tigers keeper David Marshall to keep his side in it.

Michael Jacobs smashes an effort from a tight angle and Marshall manages to push it high and wide.

  19. Post update

    Aston Villa 2-0 Rotherham

    Villa v Rotherham

Rotherham have five minutes of stoppage time to find two goals and, somehow, you can't really see it.

The Millers have played well in spells but Villa have deserved this win overall.

  20. Post update

    Stoke 1-0 Swansea

Swansea are denied an equaliser as Daniel James has a deflected shot from 20 yards out parried away by Stoke keeper Jack Butland.

Just under 20 minutes remain at the Bet 365 Stadium.
