It's a disappointing end to the Dave Whelan era at Wigan Athletic, but for Leeds fans the future looks very bright as they move back to the top of the table with Kemar Roofe scoring for the third successive match.

That win for Leeds sees them go back to the top of the table on goal difference from Norwich City.
Some big games that might alter that next week - the Steel City derby sees Sheffield United host Wednesday, while Derby host Aston Villa and Leeds travel to West Brom.

One FA Cup, a new ground and promotion from the fourth tier to the top flight all attained in 23 years.

Leeds go top of the Championship with a well-controlled victory over Wigan.
The Latics took an early lead when Reece James curled in a sixth-minute free kick, but Pablo Hernandez equalised from close range three minutes later.
Kemar Roofe sealed the points seconds after the restart as he walked the ball into an empty net after a mix-up between goalkeeper Chrisitan Walton and defender Cedric Kipre.
It's the first time Leeds have come from a goal down to win a game since Boxing Day last year.
