  1. Farewell!

    FT: West Brom 1-1 Brentford

I still can't quite believe that game ended with just two goals after what was a frantic first half.

West Brom should have won that, really. But fair play to Brentford who didn't sit back after Harvey Barnes scored for the Baggies deep into the second half.

If you've joined us late, you can read our match report on tonight's game by clicking here.

For now though, thank you for joining us!

  2. 'It feels like a defeat'

    FT: West Brom 1-1 Brentford

West Brom winger Matt Phillips told Sky Sports:

"We said at half time we had 16 balls in the box, we'd hit the bar and the post so it feels like a defeat.

"We should have taken our earlier chances. We had enough to win it but we'll take a point and we have a big game on Friday so we'll go again."

  3. 'The goal meant a lot'

    FT: West Brom 1-1 Brentford

Brentford goalscorer Lewis Macleod told Sky Sports:

"It meant a lot to all the boys. We've had a poor run of form and it's not quite clicked for us so to get the goal for everybody was good.

"You are always looking to score an equaliser [after coming on at a goal down] but the manager said to make a difference and thankfully I did.

"We'll go into the Swansea game on Saturday with a lot of confidence."

    West Brom 1-1 Brentford

Neal Maupay almost finds a pathway through into the West Brom box to force a shot but it's blocked away.

At the other end, Dwight Gayle turns and shoots towards the Brentford goal and wins a corner.

It's eventually cleared away and the referee ends this game with 99 minutes played.

  5. Post update

    West Brom 1-1 Brentford

Emiliano Marcondes is stretchered from the field. Not sure how much time could be added on than we already have, but play continues.

  6. Post update

    West Brom 1-1 Brentford

Emiliano Marcondes is now down and in a fair bit of pain by the looks of things. Brentford might be without the man who assisted their goal for the final stages of this match.

We've got yet another break in play. This could be a big point for the Bees if they hold on.

  7. GOAL: West Brom 1-1 Brentford

    Lewis Macleod

A Brentford corner is halted twice after Dwight Gayle fails to retreat and, on the third attempt, it sails into the box and is headed clear by the hosts.

A throw-in follows and the Bees work it across the pitch and Emiliano Marcondes crosses for the substitute Lewis Macleod to score from close range.

Drama. Five minutes added on, meanwhile.

    West Brom 1-0 Brentford

FinleyAsh: mate, why did you have to put your curse on the game, can we have a rematch please?

Please accept my humblest apologies that Harvey Barnes scored a goal, Finley.

  9. Post update

    West Brom 1-0 Brentford

And Alan Judge fires his free-kick just over the bar, much to the pleasure of the home support.

Just over five minutes of normal time remains. Can Brentford find a leveller?

    West Brom 1-0 Brentford

That goal has done much to appease the West Brom fans who sounded frustrated at their side's inability to put away the numerous chances they've had in front of goal prior to Harvey Barnes' strike.

The Baggies then concede a free-kick in a dangerous position just outside their box.

Meanwhile, Lewis Macleod comes on for Josh McEachran as the visitors make a change.

  11. GOAL: West Brom 1-0 Brentford

    Harvey Barnes

    Commentator's curse strikes again, folks.

It had to be, didn't it? West Brom midfielder Harvey Barnes picks up a ball in the box, tries his luck with an initial turn and shot which is blocked before finding the target with his second attempt.

He's been great tonight and deserves his goal. Meanwhile, Said Benrahma comes on for Ollie Watkins as Brentford make an immediate change.

    Harvey Barnes
  12. Post update

    West Brom 0-0 Brentford

All the pace, excitement and - more importantly - chances on goal from the first half have fizzled out in this second period.

Albion just don't look as dangerous with the ball as they did before the break. I've said that they're probably going to score!

    West Brom 0-0 Brentford

Brentford pick up their second yellow card of the match, this time as Ezri Konsa puts in a poor challenge on Jay Rodriguez.

The free-kick that follows sails into the box and Dwight Gayle just nods it wide of the mark.

Wouldn't have mattered if it had gone in, he was flagged offside.

    West Brom 0-0 Brentford

Moses Odubajo makes an instant impact from the bench as he plays a great low ball to Emiliano Marcondes who forces an incredible save from Sam Johnstone.

West Brom are being rocked by Brentford now. How this game has changed!

    West Brom 0-0 Brenford

Rico Henry is cleared to continue as a West Brom free-kick goes into the Brentford box but play is stopped yet again as he goes down in some discomfort.

Once again, the West Brom fans jeer him, but it genuinely looks like he's carrying some sort of injury and not time-wasting.

The former Walsall left-back limps away from the field and is replaced by Moses Odubajo.

  16. Post update

    West Brom 0-0 Brentford

Rico Henry is the second Brentford player to require treatment in quick succession. This time, it looks to be due to a bit of an iffy landing as he leapt to win the ball.

There are jeers from the home crowd at The Hawthorns as the game is halted once more.

  17. Post update

    West Brom 0-0 Brentford

Emiliano Marcondes has come out worse in a challenge for the ball with West Brom's Craig Dawson.

Replays show there may have been a high arm as they reacted to a free-kick. There's a break in play as the midfielder is seen to but we're back under way soon enough.

    West Brom 0-0 Brentford

A first booking of the evening as Henrik Dalsgaard is shown the yellow card for a foul on Harvey Barnes.

The free-kick that sails into the box is headed clear by Dalsgaard and Brentford live to fight another day.

  19. Post update

    West Brom 0-0 Brentford

    Thomas Frank

The tempo of this game has certainly calmed down somewhat since the beginning of the second half.

This seems to be suiting Brentford at the minute, with the visitors seeing much more of the ball than they did before the break.

  20. Post update

    West Brom 0-0 Brentford

First chance of the second half and it goes to...Brentford.

Ollie Watkins tees up Romaine Sawyers who fires over the crossbar from just outside the box.
