  1. Post update

    .

That is that for our inaugural live text coverage for the inaugural draw for the inaugural Uefa Nations League finals which come after the inaugural Uefa Nations League.

The draw fun continues at about 19:00 GMT for the all important FA Cup third round draw (insert party hat emoji). Plus live text of Guiseley v Fleetwood in the FA Cup!!!

And we've also got coverage of the Ballon d'Or ceremony, hosted by me.

    Until then.

  2. Get Involved - What did you make of the draw?

    #bbcfootball

Matthew McCready: Netherlands was the toughest draw there I'd say, if we can beat them then we can win this

    That's the spirit Matthew!

  3. Where will England play Netherlands?

The answer: Guimaraes' Estadio D Afonso Henriques on 6 June.

The other match between hosts Portugal and Switzerland will take place at Estadio do Dragao on 5 June.

Any increase in the price of flights to those destinations, by any chance?

  4. What are you thinking Gareth?

    .

"Yes Ronald, you might remember us from World Cup 2018...where were your lot?"

  5. Get Involved - What did you make of the draw?

    #bbcfootball

The Dutch have been superb since Ronald Koeman took over the team.

Two resurgent European greats against each other - plus Portugal v Switzerland!

  6. England to play Netherlands

So, England will play the Dutch - no history between those two teams in European competition.

    None at all.

  7. The second semi-final

    Netherlands v England

  8. The first semi-final...

    Portugal v Switzerland

  9. Ready?

  10. Here's the Uefa guy that looks a bit like Ranieri

Giorgio Marchetti explaining how the draw works.

Look, some might need it explained to.

  11. Keane speaks

Here's Robbie: "To represent your country is the greatest honour. The goal against Germany at World Cup 2002 stood out for me.

"The Nations League has been a huge success. This competition gives more of a competitive edge."

  12. The euphoric montages have begun...

Uefa have slapped on the dramatic music on top of the heavily post-produced vids building up to this momentous draw in Dublin.

I believe ex-Republic forward Robbie Keane is waiting in the wings to make the draw.

  13. World Cup disappointment 'will always be there'

    Video content

Video caption: Gareth Southgate admits to Jess Ennis-Hill not reaching the World Cup final was painful

We all love Gaz - I've actually yet to come across someone who doesn't. If we carried out a survey about who you would choose as your best man, it'd be Gareth.

Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill is very much in the fanclub. The sporting great sat down with the England boss who talked about England's epic run at the World Cup.

Here's a snippet of what he said: "Maybe we weren't quite ready to win collectively at that moment but there is a platform for us to build on."

Don't worry pal, you're in the Uefa Nations League finals semi-final!!

    Watch the video teaser above.

    More here.

  14. What is it worth to the Football Association?

We're talking finances here, not some Ted Talk question.

So, England had already got £1.5m for taking part in the Nations League and earned an extra £1.5m for beating Croatia and finishing top of their group.

No matter what happens next summer, even if they finish fourth, they have also guaranteed themselves a further £1.5m. This comes after England claimed £17m from Fifa for finishing fourth at the World Cup in the summer.

The winner of the Nations League tournament will receive £6.67m.

That should all pay for a good night out.

The winners also receive a pretty new trophy:

  15. The possible venues

    Porto's Estadio do Dragao
Image caption: Porto's Estadio do Dragao could host the Nations League finals

Porto's Estadio do Dragao and the Estadio D Afonso Henriques in Guimaraes are the proposed venues for the four matches that will take place.

I see they've still not finished the ends at the Dragao.

  16. ICYMI: England named hosts of Women's Euro 2021

    .
Image caption: England reached the semi-finals of Euro 2017 and have qualified for the 2019 World Cup to be held in France

They do love us, after all!!

England will host the 2021 Women's European Championship.

The Football Association was the only bidder but had to meet strict guidelines before being awarded it by European football's governing body.

FA head of women's football Baroness Campbell said: "This is fantastic news for the FA, the country and for the development of girls' and women's football in England."

The final will be held at Wembley.

    More here.

  17. Where and when will it take place?

Portugal will host the inaugural finals. They got the nod by virtue of finishing top of Group A3 and above Italy and Poland, the other two countries to have expressed an interest.

The dates and format are as follows:

    5 June: Semi-final 1

    6 June: Semi-final 2

    9 June: Third-place play-off

    9 June: Final

This draw will decide who meets who in the semi-finals - you probably worked that bit out.

One of the semi-final ties is then drawn out to decide who are technically the hosts for the final for administrative reasons. That semi-final will be on 5 June, with the other game the following day.

  18. The four teams (in no order of bias)

    .
    Image caption: .
    • """"ENGLAND!!!!!!!""""
    • Switzerland
    • Portugal
    • Netherlands

    How they got here:

"Gareth Southgate's England" (as England are now known as) finished top of Nations League Group A4, while Switzerland pipped Belgium to the top of Group A2 on head-to-head record by beating them 5-2 in their final game.

European champions Portugal were top of A3, while Netherlands continued their revival as they scored a 90th-minute equaliser in their final game against Germany to win A1.

  19. Forget the World Cup...

    Gareth Southgate

    Four teams.

    Four balls.

    Four matches.

    For queen and countr...

Sorry, I was getting carried away there.

It's the draw for the 2019 Uefa Nations League finals...which promise to be the best Uefa Nations League finals ever!!

Stay here for the build-up, draw and reaction.
