  1. 'Spurs played really well'

    Chelsea win on penalties

    Andy Townsend

Ex-Chelsea midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

It was a smart move by Pochettino to adjust his side in the second half. They didn't have any zip about them in the final third in the first half but that changed. They played really well and made a real game of it.

When it comes down to penalties it's about keeping a cool head when everybody around you is going crazy and Chelsea did that better than Tottenham in the end.

Eric Dier and Lucas Moura were the men who missed from the spot tonight. Penalty joy to penalty woe in a few months for Dier.

    Chelsea 2-1 Tottenham

    Andy Townsend

Ex-Chelsea midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

It's been a great night. I've enjoyed the game. Penalties are the most spectacular, thrilling way to go through.

Tottenham gave everything in the second half but ultimately it was Chelsea who kept their nerve.
