  1. CLOSE!

Heart of Midlothian 3-0 Auchinleck Talbot

It just won't quite happen for Uche Ikpeazu.

The big Hearts striker is played in by Steven Naismith, jinks past two defenders, cuts on to his right foot, but his shot is brilliantly headed away by Gordon Pope.

That's Ikpeazu's last act of the game as he is replaced with fellow striker David Vanecek and it's been a very good outing.

  2. CLOSE!

Heart of Midlothian 3-0 Auchinleck Talbot

A slack pass from Demetri Mitchell allows Auchinleck a rare incisive foray downfield.

Jamie Glasgow scampers up to the edge of the box but seems to panic a little with Christophe Berra bearing down on him.

The midfielder's shot is rushed, choked and dragged well wide.

  3. Auchinleck 'credit to the junior game'

Heart of Midlothian 3-0 Auchinleck Talbot

    Allan Preston

    BBC Scotland summariser

Quote Message: There's not the same intensity in the second-half from Hearts - job's done. And it's maybe time for Levein to bring on some fresh faces. Auchinleck Talbot have been brilliant in the second-half. Look how hard they're working for each other - an absolute credit to themselves and the junior game
  4. CLOSE!

Heart of Midlothian 3-0 Auchinleck Talbot

Demetri Mitchell is chopped down on the edge of the Talbot box as he slaloms his way towards the goal.

Up steps John Souttar, but his low free-kick is well blocked by goalkeeper Andrew Leishman.

  5. 'End-to-end' at Tynecastle

Heart of Midlothian 3-0 Auchinleck Talbot

    Julie Fleeting

Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: This second-half, I've seen Jamie Glasgow getting forward more often for Auchinleck, trying to support Graham Wilson, who was very isolated in the first-half, and at the moment it's end-to-end
  6. HALF-TIME Aberdeen 0-0 Queen of the South

Aberdeen are struggling to break down their Championship visitors.

Shay Logan missed the top-flight hosts' best chance, heading over when unmarked at the back post.

Queens have threatened on the break and Jordan Marshall tested goalkeeper Joe Lewis.

It's all to play for after the break.

  7. Post update

Aberdeen 0-0 Queen of the South

Aberdeen are building the pressure and Max Lowe nips inside his marker and curls a powerful drive, but it is straight into the arms of goalkeeper Alan Martin.

  8. Wasteful Dons

Aberdeen 0-0 Queen of the South

As the game drifts into first-half stoppage-time, Aberdeen squander a chance set up by Kyle Jacobs' foul on Sam Cosgrove on the edge of the penalty box.

Stevie May fires wastefully into the wall and Graeme Shinnie's drive on the rebound is blocked too.

  9. 'Celtic better in every department'

    FT: Celtic 5-0 St Johnstone

Tommy Wright isn't being too critical of his side's heavy defeat by holders Celtic.

"We were beaten by a far better team - a team that cost millions, a team with real quality throughout it," he tells BBC Radio Scotland.

"We lose the game simply because we don’t start the game well. First goal is preventable and the second goal, I know it’s a great strike, but we should clear our lines better.

"They’re better in every department. They’re stronger, quicker, with a better touch, and better players.

"I’m not going to be too critical of the players. It’s been very difficult and we’ve come up short against a classy side."

    St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright

Aberdeen 0-0 Queen of the South

The visitors force the first significant save of the game.

Defender Jordan Marshall races forward to collect a pass from Michael Doyle and unleashes a thundering effort from 25 yards that is touched over the bar by goalkeeper Joe Lewis' fingertips.

Heart of Midlothian 3-0 Auchinleck Talbot

Hearts have the ball in the net again, but it's been ruled out.

Michael Smith's long-range shot is deflected beyond Talbot stopper Andrew Leishman by the offside Steven MacLean.

Moments later, Calumn Morrison strikes the side-netting from close range. It's all Hearts.

  12. Not all about Dobbie

Aberdeen 0-0 Queen of the South

    Tyrone Smith

    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

Quote Message: This is the first time I have seen Queen of the South this season. While Stephen Dobbie rightly grabs the headlines, one thing that stands out is that they are a very well organised and drilled side

  13. Burke was 'frightening' - Rodgers

    FT: Celtic 5-0 St Johnstone

Brendan Rodgers is full of praise for his side and again singles out on-loan West Brom forward Oliver Burke for praise.

"He’s got huge potential, his running ability, his touch, he’s just getting back to playing football regularly again," the Celtic manager tells BBC Scotland.

"His run for Scotty’s second is frightening really, that pace - at any level of the game takes people out of it. His square ball for it was sublime. His all-round game, he’s getting better, improving.

"Special mention for Jonny Hayes - hasn’t played a great deal but came into the game and played very well. Created an assist for James [Forrest] and he was excellent. Delighted for him."

  14. KICK-OFF

Heart of Midlothian 3-0 Auchinleck Talbot

The second half is under way at Tynecastle.

    Can Talbot stem the tide?

Hearts have made a change at the break, with Calumn Morrison replacing Sean Clare.

It's no surprise to see the in-form Englishman withdrawn, since he aggravated a hip problem in Wednesday's draw with Livingston.

  15. Post update

Aberdeen 0-0 Queen of the South

It's no cup classic at Pittodrie, but the Championship visitors are giving a good account of themselves.

Apart from Shay Logan's poor headed finish, the Dons' only chance came when Gary Mackay-Steven's shot across goal was easily saved by Alan Martin.

  16. Unhappy return for Leishman

    HT: Hearts 3-0 Auchinleck Talbot

Auchinleck Talbot goalkeeper Andy Leishman earned himself a trial with Hearts the last time he was at Tynecastle with the junior side.

He saved a penalty from debutant Fraser Mullen as the Ayrshire side gave their hosts a real fright before Gordon Smith's winner after 84 minutes.

Gordon Pope had the ball in the net but was controversially ruled offside by referee John Beaton in stoppage time as the juniors.

The 30-year-old Leishman says he was promised a call to tell him whether he will be offered a contract or not - but it never came and he is facing another Tynecastle disappointment today.

    Hearts' Christophe Berra celebrates

  17. Stalemate at Pittodrie

Aberdeen 0-0 Queen of the South

    Willie Miller

Former Scotland defender on BBC Radio Scotland

Quote Message: Aberdeen's had plenty of the ball but haven't done much with it. Queen of the South are defending extremely well and are prepared to get forward themselves
  18. Gulf between sides

HT: Heart of Midlothian 3-0 Auchinleck Talbot

    Julie Fleeting

Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: You can see the gulf between the two sides, not just in terms of fitness but the way they pass the ball, their technique. You just wonder how long before Talbot collapse because Hearts are knocking it about so well.
  19. HALF-TIME Heart of Midlothian 3-0 Auchinleck Talbot

Craig Levein warned against complacency in the build-up to this cup tie and his Hearts team have been ruthless in banging three goals past their junior opposition.

They've had 12 shots to Talbot's one, half of which have been on target.

Christophe Berra, Demetri Mitchell and Steven MacLean were the men to find the net.

Jamie Glasgow had a brilliant chance for Auchinleck just before the interval but lobbed wide.

But that's been about the only encouraging moment for the Ayrshire men and their 1600 travelling supporters.

    Christophe Berra scores

  20. Doyle in 'no-man's land'

Heart of Midlothian 3-0 Auchinleck Talbot

    Allan Preston

    BBC Scotland summariser

Quote Message: Don't know if Doyle is getting bored with no game-time, but he's in no-man's land there. If Glasgow gets that on target, it's in the back of the net
