  3. 'Heartbreaking'

    New Zealand 0-1 Netherlands

New Zealand boss Tom Sermanni: "I am happy with the performance throughout the game. We were courageous, battled hard and were unbelievably disciplined. We gave everything we could give and tactically spot on. It is a bit heartbreaking but that is football.

"We have to take the great things we did and do it against Canada. We came up against one of the best team in the world and went shoulder to shoulder with them.

"They (the Netherlands) were very concerned, you could tell things were not going their way. They knew they were in for a battle but would have felt confident coming in to the tournament."

  4. Dutch delight

    New Zealand 0-1 Netherlands

The Netherlands have only won two World Cup games and kept two clean sheets – both of them against New Zealand.

They are now unbeaten in five games in all competitions and gone 400 minutes without conceding a goal.

    New Zealand 0-1 Netherlands

Just listening in to the New Zealand huddle at full-time.

One of the coaches says it was "so, so close, but you should be really proud".

Quite right, it was a monumental effort against the European champions but they came up just short in the end.

    New Zealand 0-1 Netherlands

    And that is it.

Netherlands start with victory, but they left it very late.

New Zealand extend their winless run at World Cups to 13 games. Unlucky.

  7. GOAL - New Zealand 0-1 Netherlands

    Jill Roord

New Zealand fail to deal with a cross to the back post towards Lineth Beerensteyn.

She pulls it back for new Arsenal signing Jill Roord to head in from a couple of yards out.

What a dramatic ending to this game and now Sarina Weigman is finally smiling.

On the balance of play, the Dutch deserve it.

This is starting to feel like it might not go the way of the Euro 2017 champions. The Dutch fans away to my right are starting to look a little deflated, but hold on, the band is giving them a welcome boost.

There are 10,654 fans in the stadium, which has a capacity of 24,000.

    New Zealand 0-0 Netherlands

Danielle van de Donk loops a header at goal from Merel van Dongen's crossfield pass, think Daley Blind to Robin van Persie at the 2014 World Cup, it's exactly the same, but Van de Donk's header drifts wide.

    Surprised by this change.

Jackie Groenen has been one of the better Dutch players, but Sarina Weigman calls her number and sends on Jill Roord instead.
