The ball is whipped in from the subsequent free-kick but Cardiff clear the threat, only for Everton to come straight back at them.

  18. Post update

    Cardiff 0-1 Everton

    Dafydd Pritchard

BBC Sport Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium

This has been a strong start to the second half from Cardiff and the home fans have responded to it.

Kenneth Zohore made surging runs down the left channel something of a trademark of his in the Championship last season, and the Dane really left Michael Keane in his wake on that occasion.

Despite the improvement, Cardiff still lack that quality in the final third - but they're giving themselves a fighting chance with this improvement.

Are Everton settling for what they have?

Richarlison is being replaced by fellow Brazilian Bernard.
