Linfield have taken a huge stride towards reclaiming the Gibson Cup. The Blues' 2-0 defeat of Institute at Windsor Park means they are now nine points ahead of Ballymena United, who fell to a disappointing 2-0 loss at home to Glentoran. Although the Braidmen have a game in hand, David Jeffrey's side require a couple of run-in slip-ups from Linfield.
Crusaders boosted their chances of snatching second spot away from Ballymena with a 2-0 win over Cliftonville in the north Belfast derby at Seaview to move within five points of the Sky Blues.
Elsewhere, Glenavon edged Dungannon Swifts at Mourneview Park while Seanan Foster's goal was enough to give Warrenpoint Town all three points at Ards. Warren Feeney's men remain just one point above bottom-placed Newry City.
We'll be back with live text coverage of next Saturday's five-game programme.
