All times stated are UK

  1. 'Good to see Griffiths back'

    Celtic 2-1 Sarajevo (5-2)

    Pat Bonner

Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: A standing ovation for Leigh Griffiths. The fans are delighted to see him back in competitive action for the first time in such a long, long time. It's good to see him back and we want to see him getting his match fitness up, because we want to see him playing and playing
  2. Post update

    Celtic 2-1 Sarajevo (5-2)

Lewis Morgan fires a rising shot over the top from just inside the penalty area before a huge roar from the crowd greets the arrival of Leigh Griffiths.

The striker, who has been absent since December due to injury and personal issues, takes over from Odsonne Edouard for the final 10 minutes or so.

  3. McGregor's 'super strike'

    Celtic 2-1 Sarajevo (5-2)

    Pat Bonner

Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: A super strike from McGregor. Good movement, good play from Celtic down the right. There was lots of space for McGregor, but the goalkeeper is again beaten down to his left side. You'd be disappointed if your goalkeeper gave away one of those. He looks comfortable with anything high, a couple of yards off the ground, but anything low he looks very unsure.

  4. GOAL Celtic 2-1 Sarajevo (5-2)

    Callum McGregor

We've just been praising the visiting goalie but Vladan Kovacevic is left a bit embarrassed as shot from Callum McGregor zips past him.

The Scotland midfielder hit the low strike from the edge of the box with some venom but it's pretty central and a step the wrong way does for Kovacevic, who can't recover in time.

    GOAL
  5. GOOD SAVE

    Celtic 1-1 Sarajevo (4-2)

Another fine stop from Kovacevic as he gets down smartly to push out a fierce shot from Odsonne Edouard.

  6. GOOD SAVE

    Celtic 1-1 Sarajevo (4-2)

A sight of goal for James Forrest as he runs on to a Lewis Morgan pass. The winger has a blast and goalkeeper Kovacevic has to palm it away.

  7. Lessons to be learned for Celtic

    Celtic 1-1 Sarajevo (4-2)

    Martin Dowden

BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

    Sarajevo score

As in the first leg, Celtic concede a very cheap goal. In Bosnia, it was the concession of an unnecessary set-piece and poor defending from it that caused short-term concern.

Tonight, it was really casual play from Boli Bolingoli that gifted the visitors a goal and a little hope.

While it shouldn’t make a difference to the overall outcome, it will be something that Neil Lennon will be keen to address.

Such sloppiness in European football is not conducive to positive results and better sides will capitalise.

Perhaps mistakes such as that will help sharpen minds ahead of their next competitive outing.

  8. Post update

    Celtic 1-1 Sarajevo (4-2)

The game is suddenly wide open and Celtic are looking a bit shaky as Mersudin Ahmetovic almost gets in behind Jozo Simunovic. A lucky bounce of the ball comes to the defender's aid as it breaks behind for a goal-kick.

  9. 'Poor defensive play' from Bolingoli

    Celtic 1-1 Sarajevo (4-2)

    Pat Bonner

Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: A poor goal to concede. Bolingoli tried a risky ball in his own final third, and when he gave it away Sarajevo worked it very well. The striker knocked it down to Tatar who finished it. Decent goal, but poor defensive play. We did talk about Bolingoli's defensive qualities. He needs to look for danger and not try and pass when there's danger
  10. GOAL Celtic 1-1 Sarajevo (4-2)

    Benjamin Tatar

Completely out of the blue, the visitors are level on the night. A stray pass from Boli Bolingoli is intercepted, the ball is floated into the box and Mersudin Ahmetovic does well to nod it into the path of Benjamin Tatar, who lashes a low shot beyond Scott Bain.

    GOAL
  11. 'Sarajevo leaving space behind'

    Celtic 1-0 Sarajevo (4-1)

    Pat Bonner

Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: Sarajevo are getting lots of bodies forward and they have to get players forward to try and get a goal back because at the moment they're well beaten. That'll create opportunities for Celtic to go and exploit, because if they can win the ball and move it quickly, there's lots of space behind Sarajevo
  12. Bolingoli going for broke

    Celtic 1-0 Sarajevo (4-1)

Boli Bolingoli is playing like a striker at the moment. Odsonne Edouard looks genuinely surprised to see the left-back pop up beside him in the penalty box as a chance comes and goes.

When he's busy charging up the park, Kristoffer Ajer steps in from the right and Celtic go to a back three, although they have not exactly been overworked.

  13. Post update

    Celtic 1-0 Sarajevo (4-1)

The goal is gaping for Boli Bolingoli as he cuts inside leaving his man for dead but it's on his weaker right foot and all he can do is stab a shot wide of the near post.

  14. Griffiths 'needs minutes'

    Celtic 1-0 Sarajevo (4-1)

    John Hughes

    Former Hibernian manager on Sportsound

Quote Message: I'd like to see Henderson and Griffiths come on in the second half. Griffiths needs a bit of fitness, you don't want to push him too much with his historic calf problem. But Celtic will want him firing on all cylinders when he comes back and he needs game time
  15. Post update

    Celtic 1-0 Sarajevo (4-1)

Free kick to Celtic now. Ryan Christie whips it to the back post and Jozo Simunovic gets his head on it but the ball flies straight into the outstretched arms of the goalie.

  16. Post update

    Celtic 1-0 Sarajevo (4-1)

Slick play from Celtic as Ryan Christie forces a corner but Sarajevo striker Mersudin Ahmetovic is back helping out his defence as he nods clear.

  17. KICK-OFF

    Celtic 1-0 Sarajevo (4-1)

No changes for Celtic as the rain begins to tumble down in the east end of Glasgow.

  18. Nisbet with season's first hat-trick

    Scottish League Cup

Dunfermline Athletic's Kevin Nisbet, the striker who signed from neighbours Raith Rovers this summer, has scored the first hat-trick of the new Scottish season as Stevie Crawford's side lead Albion Rovers 5-0 at the break.

While the Pars are well on their way to their second win in a row in Group H, the team they beat on Sunday, Premiership side St Mirren, are struggling again in a goalless draw at home to League Two side Edinburgh City.

    Dunfermline Athletic striker Kevin Nisbet
  19. Brown 'running the show' for Celtic

    HT: Celtic 1-0 Sarajevo (4-1)

    John Hughes

    Former Hibernian manager on Sportsound

Quote Message: Celtic have been very impressive, playing on the front foot, dominating the football. Brown in midfield has been running the show, and down the flanks there was the switch between Forrest and Morgan. Christie got a bit of whip on the shot for the goal, which came at the right time. It just eased the pressure and now they can relax and try to score more goals
  20. HALF-TIME - Scottish League Cup

    Group C

Stirling Albion 0-2 Arbroath (Gold, McKenna)

    Group D

    Cove Rangers 0-0 Dundee

    Group F

    Clyde 0-1 Hamilton Academical (McMann)

    Group H

Dunfermline Athletic 5-0 Albion Rovers (Turner, Nisbet 3, Comrie)

    St Mirren 0-0 Edinburgh City
