  1. CLOSE!

    Tottenham 1-1 Man Utd

Marcus Rashford threads a lovely ball into 18-year-old Angel Gomes on the left of the box. It's a good first touch from the youngster and he twists and turns before his shot is deflected over the bar.

    Decent effort!

  2. GOAL - Tottenham 1-1 Man Utd

    Lucas Moura

The ball comes out to Lucas Moura on the edge of the box and he drills it towards goal. He hits it with power, nice and low, and it takes a deflection off someone before beating Sergio Romero.

  3. Post update

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

Son Heung-min is clipped by Fred as he flicks it past the midfielder. The South Korean has had a great impact!

  4. Post update

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

    Simon Stone

    BBC Sport in Shanghai

It is hardly surprising Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Mauricio Pochettino made 17 changes between them at the break.

Both teams still have work to do in their pre-season programmes, with Manchester United going to Norway and Tottenham to Germany next week, before engagements with the two Milan sides the weekend before the Premier League starts.

United play AC Milan in Cardiff on 3 August, Tottenham entertain Inter a day later.

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

Jack Roles replaces Moussa Sissoko, while Christian Eriksen comes on as Spurs make four more changes.

  6. CLOSE!

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

Fred is urged to shoot from long range again and this time he connects much better. It's on target and has plenty of power on it but Paulo Gazzaniga gets down low to gather it in fairly comfortably.

  7. Post update

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

Nice play from Spurs. Dele Alli gets on the end of a long ball and it falls in the centre. Son Heung-min gets pounces onto it first, quickly moves his feet into position and slips it right. It's fizzed in low and United have to concede a corner.

  8. Post update

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

I've just seen Eric Bailly being carried down the tunnel by the medical staff. He looks in a bit of bother.

Not a nice thing to see.

  9. Post update

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

There's hardly a delay for the injury and the game gets back under way within seconds. Marcus Rashford thinks he's in but the Spurs keeper comes charging off his line to clear it on the edge of the area.

It looks like he's handled it outside the box and there's plenty of players appealing. Nothing given by the referee.

  10. Post update

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

Oh no, this is a concern. Eric Bailly, who has been on for less than 10 minutes, is being taken off on a stretcher following that encounter with Son Heung-min.

He just seemed to twist his knee.

  11. CLOSE!

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

Son Heung-min gets in behind Eric Bailly and he's picked out. He drives into the box, cuts inside and deceives Bailly.

He's just about to shoot and the whistle goes for offside. That was the most delayed offside decision I've ever seen! I think Son from first viewing was onside too...

  12. Post update

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

Here's the full Man Utd XI for the second half:

Romero, Dalot, Lindelof, Bailly, Shaw, Matic, Fred, Mata, Lingard, Gomes, Rashford

  13. Post update

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

    End-to-end stuff!

  14. CLOSE!

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

Moussa Sissoko has so much space as he drives through the centre and almost has too much time to think about the pass.

He ends up cutting it inside, where there are two defenders there to intercept, and United counter quickly.

Jesse Lingard is twisting and turning but can't get into the box before Spurs go up the other end and Son Heung-min's chip bounces dangerously on top of the netting.

  15. Post update

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

A quick turn of acceleration from Diogo Dalot deceives Anthony Georgiou and the full-back fouls him on the right touchline.

United take it quickly and it comes to Fred in the centre. He has space to shoot and does, but drags it wide of the right post.

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

Manchester United have a whole different team out. Juan Mata and Marcus Rashford are out there, as are Fred and Diogo Dalot.

Spurs also make changes, Erik Lamela, Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min are among them.

  17. KICK-OFF

    Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

    We're back under way.

  18. Post update

    HT: Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

Plenty of players on the bench who can come on and make a difference for Spurs. Among them is Lucas Moura, Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen.

United also have a few stars to call upon, including Marcus Rashford.

  19. Post update

    HT: Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

A good showing from Welshman Daniel James and Irishman Troy Parrott so far. Two young forwards with plenty of promise.

Have you been impressed with them?

  20. Is this Tottenham's season to deliver?

    Simon Stone

    BBC Sport in Shanghai

It has been 58 years since Tottenham last won the league - a time when the Beatles released their first single and England were half a decade away from winning their only World Cup.

But after years of battling against the odds, Spurs have a stadium and training ground that rank among the very best in the world. They have kept a manager who was heavily linked with Real Madrid and Manchester United last season and their squad includes seven players who reached the World Cup semi-finals or better 12 months ago.

And, crucially, they have just broken their transfer record by paying Lyon £53.8m for midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

So, after reaching the Champions League final for the first time in their history last season, is it right to ask whether it is time for Tottenham to deliver?
