  1. Tough at the top

    West Brom

    That's your lot from us on a day where teams at the top of the tables in the EFL perhaps took the season of giving a little too literally.

    Leaders West Brom were held to a 1-1 draw by Brentford while second-placed Leeds lost 2-1 to Fulham.

    Despite the setbacks the two teams have a 12 and nine point lead over the chasing pack.

    In League One leaders Wycombe and second-placed Ipswich both lost, with inform Oxford and Portsmouth accounting for the table toppers.

    Meanwhile, in League Two Swindon blew a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Forest Green.

    • Forest Green come from 2-0 down to draw with leaders Swindon, who had led through Eoin Doyle's brace. The on-loan striker now has 21 goals for the season.
    • Exeter City overturn a 3-0 deficit to draw with Walsall. Six of the teams in the top seven have to settle for draws on Saturday.
    • The only team in the top seven to win are Crewe, who thrashed Stevenage to send Boro bottom of the English Football League at Christmas after Morecambe beat Newport.
  4. League One full-time headlines

    • Wycombe Wanderers and Ipswich Town, the top two in League One, both lose against Oxford United and Portsmouth respectively. Leaders Wycombe had Adebayo Akinfenwa sent off before half-time.
    • At the bottom, Bolton Wanderers beat fellow strugglers Southend United, with Sol Campbell's side now just two points above the Trotters.
    • Elsewhere, third-placed Peterborough draw with fourth-placed Bristol Rovers, while Shrewsbury win at Blackpool.
  5. Championship full-time headlines

    • Fulham beat second-placed Leeds to go third in the table.
    • Leaders West Brom are held to a 1-1 draw by Brentford.
    • Struggling Barnsley record back-to-back wins thanks to Patrick Schmidt's last-minute winner at Millwall.
    • Hull and Reading ease to 3-0 wins over Birmingham and Derby respectively.

    Huddersfield 2-1 Nott'm Forest

    Huddersfield hold on for a vital win to climb a bit further away from the relegation zone.


    Fulham 2-1 Leeds

    Fulham go up to third with a victory over second-placed Leeds.

    Goals from Aleksandar Mitrovic and Josh Onomah were enough for the hosts.

    Late drama for Forest Green, who have scored a 95th-minute equaliser to deny Swindon. The Robins had led 2-0.

    The visitors throwing everything into trying to salvage a draw here but Kamil Grabara denies Matty Cash with a fine reaction save.


    West Brom 1-1 Brentford

    An entertaining affair at the Hawthorns sees this one end in a draw, as in-form Brentford hold leaders West Brom to a point.


    Luton 0-1 Swansea

    Andre Ayew's late goal sends Swansea into the top six and leaves Luton just one point above the relegation zone.


    Reading 3-0 Derby

    All over and Reading have stormed to a comfortable victory against Derby, who had Scott Malone sent off and conceded two penalties.


    QPR 2-2 Charlton

    Naby Sarr's dramatic 95th-minute leveller gives Charlton a share of the points against QPR.


    Hull City 3-0 Birmimgham

    Comprehensive win for Hull thanks to goals from Tom Eaves, Lamil Grosicki and Keane Lewis-Potter.


    Millwall 1-2 Barnsley

    It's all over and Barnsley have been made to work for that but they've stunned Millwall to pull off a huge win.
