Video caption: 'A slice of fortune for United' - Neto goal ruled out for handball by Jimenez

Wolves defender Conor Coady: "It's constant, all we are talking about is VAR. It's ridiculous, it's stupid.

"You can't celebrate. Raul Jimenez didn't even know he had handballed it. We have to get used to it.

"All of it is terrible for me. It's not for me, it's not for a lot of players. But people higher up in the game are happy with it."

  7. 'Rashford will be tested in the next few days'

    Manchester United 1-0 Wolves

    Manchester United

    Marcus rashford

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: "I think you can see it was two teams towards the end that were tired. End to end and an open game - sometimes that doesn't suit us.

"We're delighted to beat Wolves finally. Juan Mata is different class. He's got the skill, composure and even pace."

On the note handed to Mata during the first-half: "A couple of times we went out of shape - we adjusted it for five/10 minutes before half-time.

"Dan [James] had three or four great opportunities one-on-one with the keeper. Fair play to our boys we created them but we didn't take them."

Did the decision to play Marcus Rashford backfire? "Yes it backfired. You got to take them once in a while. He'll be tested in the next few days - we have to see for Sunday. He couldn't run. He struggled a little bit with his back and got another knock. It didn't help."

  8. Post update

    Carlisle 3-4 Cardiff

    Harry McKirdy

Harry McKirdy has had a hand in six goals in his five FA Cup appearances for Carlisle (five goals, one assist).

    What a cup run!

  9. Post update

Marcus Rashford "will be tested in the next few days" and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he hopes he could still be fit to face Liverpool on Sunday.

  10. 'I was reading a list for grocery shopping'

    Manchester United 1-0 Wolves

    Juan Mata

Juan Mata speaking to BT Sport: "It was very difficult to break them down today - it's a good result for us. Good couple of days. Luckily I put the ball in the net - it wasn't offside. luckily no VAR - you have to wait these days."

About reading a piece of paper during the match: "A list for grocery shopping...bread.. milk..

"It's been five games we haven't beaten Wolves. It shows how difficult they are - they have great players. We finally beat them. We showed that we can compete against every good team.

"Hopefully Marcus Rashford isn't too bad. Was a shame he couldn't be on the pitch for more minutes."

  11. 'We are celebrating non goals'

Video caption: 'A slice of fortune for United' - Neto goal ruled out for handball by Jimenez

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo on BT Sport: "It was a good game of football, an even game. Both teams had chances.

"We didn't defend the goal well but we reacted well and were in the game. A proper game, I am disappointed to go out because it is frustrating when you perform well and go out.

"That's VAR, you cannot do anything about it. We are celebrating non goals - it doesn't make sense."

  12. Post update

    Carlisle 3-4 Cardiff

    Chris Lumsdon

former Carlisle midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

Everyone for Carlisle has played really well and showed they are at a better standard than they have been playing.

    Carlisle 3-4 Cardiff

    All over!

Carlisle gave it their all but it's Cardiff who go through to play Reading. That's £250k in the back pocket of Northampton Town too, the lowest-ranked side still in the Cup.

  15. Get Involved

SMS Message: The fact Mata has played in the last twp games and has been influential in both of them means he probably won't play on Sunday against Liverpool. It's a pity because he could be the calming influence in a frantic game from Grahame in Cramlington

  16. 'United stopped Wolves counter-attacks'

    Manchester United 1-0 Wolves

    Darren Fletcher

Former Man Utd midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

A great result for United. Thoroughly entertaining game. Wolves had best chances in the first half but then United stopped their counter-attacks.

For the goal it was a great bit of play from Anthony Martial and a dinked finish from Juan Mata.

  18. Post update

    Manchester United 1-0 Wolves

A bad end to the night for Wolves as Ruben Vinagre has twanged a hamstring on his way to chasing Anthony Martial back for that late chance. Tired legs.
