    Blackburn celebrate

    Well there's been plenty of goals, plenty of action, red cards, yellow cards and everything in between.

    Another stellar day in the English Football League draws to a close with West Brom still leading the Championship ahead of their fixture against Stoke on Monday evening.

    There was drama in Leagues One and Two as well, with Southend finally winning a game and Stevenage pulling off a stunning 4-0 win at Cambridge.

    Tomorrow, Nottingham Forest take on struggling Luton Town in an early kick-off and we'll be back bringing you all the action.

    So the big winners on Saturday in the race for promotion to the Premier League? Arguably leaders West Brom.

    With Leeds beaten at QPR in the early game and Brentford held to a draw at Huddersfield, the Baggies can go four points clear at the top if they beat Stoke on Monday.

    • Crewe climb into the automatic promotion places with victory over fellow contenders Cheltenham.
    • Northampton move into the play-off places with a 4-1 win over Morecambe, who are now bottom.

    • Sol Campbell gets his first league win as Southend boss, Charlie Kelman and Jason Demetriou scoring in their 2-1 victory at Accrington.
    • The top four all win - Rotherham stay top, Wycombe and Ipswich come from behind for victory.
    • Sunderland move into the final play-off place thanks to Lynden Gooch's winner at MK Dons.

    • Blackburn coast to a thumping 5-0 win against 10-man Sheff Wed at Hillsborough to move up to 11th while the Owls slip to 10th
    • Brentford miss chance to move third and three points off second-placed Leeds as they are held to a goalless draw against Huddersfield
    • Derby unbeaten in six having beaten Hull, Millwall defeat Reading 2-0 and Swansea come from behind to beat Wigan and move up to fifth
    • Barnsley a point off safety in 22nd following 1-0 defeat by Bristol City who move up to eighth

    Birmingham 1-1 Cardiff

    The points are shared at St Andrew's as Lee Tomlin's second-half header cancels out the opener from Birmingham's teenage midfielder Jude Bellingham.


    Millwall 2-0 Reading

    Reading's seven-game unbeaten league run comes to an abrupt end at The Den.

    Matt Smith and former Royal Jon Dadi Bodvarsson with the goals, in a game which could be overshadowed by an alleged racist incident in the crowd during the first half.


    Swansea 2-1 Wigan

    Andre Ayew's classy second half goal gives Swansea all three points against Wigan who slip to another defeat.

    The Latics are now two points off safety in 23rd place.


    Preston 2-1 Charlton

    Josh Harrop and Patrick Bauer's goals give Preston victory after Andre Green had given Charlton the lead early on against his former club.


    Derby 1-0 Hull

    Matt Clarke's second-half header sees Derby end another tough week with three points against Hull.

    On Thursday Phillip Cocu's Rams were charged by the EFL for a breach of spending rules and now face a possible points deduction.


    Sheff Wed 0-5 Blackburn

    Sam Gallagher's goal brings this game to a close.

    A day at the office to forget for Sheff Wed. One to remember for Blackburn.


    Bristol City 1-0 Barnsley

    All over at Ashton Gate. Niclas Eliasson's late goal earns all three points for Bristol City.
