  2. More cup action for Rangers

    FT: Braga 0-1 Rangers (2-4)

Rangers are next in action on Saturday when they visit Hearts in the Scottish Cup.

They lost at Tynecastle last month, triggering a damaging stumble in league form, which has seen them drop 12 points behind Celtic.

This result should put a spring back in their step as Steven Gerrard chases the silverware fans crave.

  3. 'This is no fluke' - Gerrard 'super proud' of Rangers

    FT: Braga 0-1 Rangers (2-4)

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard told BT Sport: "Super proud of the players. To a man tonight they were outstanding. I thought they were faultless, certainly out of possession.

"We've had some real other good chances tonight to score. We could've taken one or two chances in the first half.

"We knew the challenge because of last week. We knew how they were going to play. The idea was to let their back five have the ball.

"This is no fluke. This has come from sheer hard graft. We knew there was an opportunity. We need to enjoy tonight. We'll be really proud when the draw is made.

And asked about the missed penalty, Gerrard joked: "I'm on the next one."

  5. 'Hopefully, we continue like this'

    FT: Braga 0-1 Rangers (2-4)

Rangers defender George Edmunson on BT Sport: "I thought we did alright. It's one of the best days of my life. Nights like this is why I came to Rangers. To get a clean sheet and be involved in that is massive for me. It's a massive game and for the manager to throw me in gives me big belief going forward."

Rangers forward Florian Kamberi on BT Sport: "It's an unbelievable night for me and the team. It doesn't matter who scores the goals, it's just important we're through. Hopefully, we continue like this."

  6. 'Less tension as underdogs'

    FT: Braga 0-1 Rangers (2-4)

Rangers winger Ryan Kent on BT Sport: "The boys' recent form has not been good enough. We've been doing really well in Europe. We showed everyone what we're capable of doing. It's special. The fact that we're the underdogs in the competition, there's less tension in our play. We get what we deserve and tonight we got what we deserved.

Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack on BT Sport: "What a performance, honestly. Everyone's been having a wee dig at us and rightly so, it's not been good enough. Hopefully, that's something to build on for the rest of the season. Credit to the boys and the supporters as well - they deserve that."
