'It is always special'

Sevilla matchwinner Lucas Ocampos: "It has been a difficult week, I had a niggle but I knew this game was very important for everybody. It is always special.

"We controlled the game well after the first goal. We are up there at the top of the table. The replays will show that the referee got it right for the penalty.

"We feel as if the fans are here, even if they aren't."

Marc Bartra, who conceded the penalty for the opening goal, says it was very dubious and he couldn't see a foul...

Marc Bartra is now struggling with cramp and might not be able to carry on. We;re into stoppage time now though - almost midnight in Seville.

The game has gone, petering out now as the fake crowd noise finally finds a decent level in the mix.

Munir is down hurt for Sevilla, a few playesr have looked leggy in the last few minutes. These lads are out of condition of course, as we enter the final 20 minutes.

Better from Betis as Emerson skins his man on the right and puts over a lovely cross, it snakes through the area and comes back in, and Borja heads it wide.

Betis send on mercurial veteran Joaquin, closing in on the 20th anniversary of his debut in the green and white.

Sevilla are moving to within six points of second-placed Real Madrid in the as it stands table.

Betis have just over half an hour to rescue this derby. They've hardly threatened all game so far but are sending on young Mexican Diego Lainez now.

Jesus Navas thinks he is taken out off the ball and wants action, the ref can't see it but as the ball goes out for a corner there's a VAR check.

Another fine chance for the hosts! Jesus Navas gets free down the right and cuts it back, Joan Jordan treads on the ball and the chance is gone for him, Munir swivels on it and fires it in but it's an easy save for Joel Robles.
