  1. Blues in gr-eight position

Healy's men have commanding lead at summit

The Irish Premiership table has an ominously familiar look to it this evening.

Those two recent defeats at the hands of Glentoran seem a distant memory now for Linfield, who have surged eight points clear at the summit after beating Dungannon Swifts.

Nearest challengers Coleraine have two games in hand but ask any manager and they'll doubtless tell you they would sooner have the points on the board than be playing catch-up.

Elsewhere tonight, Glentoran suffered a second successive midweek setback as they lost at Glenavon; Larne overcame Carrick in the east Antrim 'derby; while Warrenpoint Town and Ballymena United couldn't be separated at Milltown.

Linfield's title credentials face another stern examination in our live stream match on Friday night when they travel to Crusaders.

Then it's a five-match schedule on Saturday as a fascinating campaign continues at a pace.

Don't forget you can follow all the weekend action here. Until then, it's bye for now.

  2. Double nutmeg wraps up points

    Carrick Rangers 1-3 Larne

Conor McKendry fires home Larne's decisive third goal through the legs of both Gerard Storey and goalkeeper Aaron Hogg.

  3. FULL-TIME

    Glenavon 2-1 Glentoran

It's all over! Two goals in three second-half minutes lift Glenavon to a dramatic comeback win over Glentoran.

Rory Donnelly put the Glens ahead in the first half only for the Lurgan Blues to fight back with a brilliant one-two punch from Robert Garrett and Matthew Fitzpatrick.

A big win for Gary Hamilton's side. Glentoran will get their shot at revenge on Saturday, of course, when the sides meet again at the Oval.

  4. FULL-TIME

    Warrenpoint Town 1-1 Ballymena Utd

The first of two matches between these two sides in the space of four days at Milltown ends in a 1-1 draw.

Joe McCready with the spectacular opener for Ballymena and Adam Carroll with the well-placed headed equaliser.

Ballymena remain seventh but move to within four points of Cliftonville above them with a match in hand, while Warrenpoint stay ninth.

It's six matches unbeaten now for the Sky Blues.

  5. FULL-TIME

    Carrick Rangers 1-3 Larne

Larne move to within three points of second-placed Coleraine with a 'derby' win at their near neighbours.

Conor McKendry's late goal eventually sees off Carrick's stubborn resistance but manager Niall Currie will be pleased with a much-improved Rangers showing from their weekend drubbing at Linfield.

  6. FULL-TIME

    Linfield 2-0 Dungannon Swifts

The champions move eight points clear at the top after easing to victory over the bottom side.

Joel Cooper and Shayne Lavery were on target in a dominant Blues display although the Swifts threatened in the second half with former Linfield striker Michael Carvill hitting the woodwork.

That's four wins on the spin and all at Windsor, scoring 16 times and not a single goal conceded.

    Title-winning form.

  7. GOAL

    Carrick Rangers 1-3 Larne

Substitute Conor McKendry secures the three points for Larne with an injury time third goal.

Carrick, throwing men forward in search of an equaliser, lose possession in their own half, leading to a three-against-one Larne attack, culminating in McKendry cutting inside onto his right foot before steering a shot past Hogg.

  14. GOAL

    Linfield 2-0 Dungannon

Shayne Lavery smashes in to complete a superb team move and double Linfield's lead on 52 minutes.

Niall Quinn picks out the run of Joel Cooper on the left and his pinpoint cross is met first-time by the in-form Northern Ireland striker, who blasts past Roy Carroll.

A goal to remember for the Blues and David Healy's men are well on course to move eight points clear at the top.

  15. Should Rory Donnelly's opener for Glentoran have stood?

    Glenavon 0-1 Glentoran

Glenavon were certainly not happy to see this goal stand after what looks like a handball from Conor McMenamin in the build-up.

  16. Glentoran submit plan for £8m to £10m Oval redevelopment
