Live Reporting

All times stated are UK

  1. FULL-TIME

    Warrenpoint Town 2-2 Ballymena United

    Aaaand breathe!

Frenetic climax to the game and it ends as it did four days ago - with a point apiece.

Brilliant game, cracking entertainment and perhaps a fair result with both sides having contributed so much.

Thanks for joining us - we're back with another busy round of fixtures on Tuesday evening. Until then, it's bye for now!

  2. GOAL

    Warrenpoint 2-2 Ballymena United

Warrenpoint's lead didn't last long as Ryan Waide blasts Ballymena level in brilliant fashion.

    His first goal for Ballymena!

  3. GOAL

    Warrenpoint Town 2-1 Ballymena United

Substitute Brandon Doyle puts Warrenpoint ahead with six minutes remaining!

The youngster beats Ross Redman in the air and does brilliantly to hold off Conor Keeley before beating Jordan Williamson.

Lovely individual goal, and one that may well prove to be the winner!

  4. GOAL

    Warrenpoint Town 1-1 Ballymena United

Shay McCartan draws Ballymena level with an effort from point-blank range!

Paul McElroy somewhat atones for his earlier penalty miss as he storms down the left flank before drilling a dangerous ball across the Warrenpoint goal.

It comes to Ryan Waide, whose first touch is heavy, but that doesn't matter as McCartan is well-placed to blast the ball into the roof of the net for his ninth goal of the season.

  5. HALF-TIME

    Warrenpoint Town 1-0 Ballymena United

David Jeffrey will not be pleased with what he has seen during the first 45 minutes at Milltown.

Within a minute of watching his side miss a penalty, the Sky Blues boss looked on from the dugout as Warrenpoint ran straight up the other end and scored in the 32nd-minute.

Adam Carroll got the goal and that is enough to separate the sides after a dramatic half. More of the same after the break, please!

  6. GOAL

    Warrenpoint Town 1-0 Ballymena United

Unbelievable scenes! Pretty much immediately after Sava's penalty save, Warrenpoint charge up the other end.

After a bit of penalty box pinball, Adam Carroll produces an excellent finish to put the home side ahead after 32 minutes!

Frenetic couple of minutes. Sky Blues boss David Jeffrey looks deeply unimpressed in the dugout, and we're not surprised.

There were 48 seconds between Sava saving McElroy's penalty and Carroll scoring. The definition of end-to-end.

  7. MISSED PENALTY

    Warrenpoint Town 0-0 Ballymena United

Gabriel Sava denies Paul McElroy from the spot!

McElroy has been deadly from 12 yards this season but this one lacks power and conviction and the Point keeper is able to comfortably gather the ball.

  8. PENALTY

    Warrenpoint Town 0-0 Ballymena United

Jude Winchester wins a penalty for Ballymena following Ben Mullen's foul.

  9. SUBSTITUTION

    Warrenpoint Town 0-0 Ballymena United

Ballymena are forced into an early change as Jim Ervin replaces the injured Sean Graham, who pulled up in discomfort at the end of a Warrenpoint attack.

  10. Great chance for the visitors!

    Warrenpoint Town 0-0 Ballymena United

A Ballymena corner falls to Conor Keeley inside the six-yard area but the defender is unable to keep his effort on target!

That was by far the clearest sight of goal either side has had. Keeley was under pressure from a couple of Point defenders, but it certainly looked like a chance he should have buried.

  11. Who will blink first?

    Warrenpoint Town 0-0 Ballymena United

You get the feeling both sides are still feeling their way into this one.

Alan O'Sullivan had an opening for the home side but dragged his shot wide.

Other than that, there hasn't been much in it!

  13. Over to Milltown

    Warrenpoint Town v Ballymena United

The action continues as Warrenpoint Town welcome Ballymena United to Milltown in our live-streamed game.

It is the latest instalment of this season's deja vu football as the sides face for the second time in the space of four days after Tuesday night's 1-1 draw at Milltown.

Ballymena can move to within a point of sixth-placed Crusaders with a win, so there is plenty of incentive for the Sky Blues as they look to keep their European hopes alive.

Barry Gray's side are a tough nut to crack, of course, as evidenced during the midweek draw.

It should be an intriguing tactical battle to round out another busy weekend of Irish Premiership action.
