Real end the day in second place in the La Liga table - three points behind Atletico Madrid, who play Alaves on Sunday.

The referee awards the goal and immediately blows for full-time.

The scoreline flatters Real somewhat but Zinedine Zidane's side deserve the three points.

SUBSTITUTION

Jose Fontan replaces Augusto Solari, who has only been on the pitch for 20 minutes.

The 29-year-old must have picked up an injury.

We're going to have three minutes of injury time at the Balaidos.

Marco Asensio races clear down the right but his cross just evades Karim Benzema on the edge of the six-yard box.

So close to a hat-trick.

That's superb defending from Nacho to deny Facundo Ferreyra, who was looking to get on the end of Iago Aspas's low cross from the left.

The Uruguayan is back on his feet quickly but his follow-up shot is blocked again by Nacho.

It was Denis Suarez who was booked for that earlier challenge on Casemiro, not Solari.

That clears that up.

YELLOW CARD

Now then. Augusto Solari is shown a yellow card for a late challenge on Casemiro.

I was under the impression the 29-year-old had already been booked, but there's no sign of a red card.

SUBSTITUTION

The hosts make a double change as Facundo Ferreyra (remember him, Newcastle fans?) and Fran Beltran enter the fray for Brais Mendez and Jeison Murillo.

So close to an equaliser!

Iago Aspas's effort takes a slight deflection off the head of Casemiro and strikes the outside of the post.

Real breathe again!

Another free-kick in a very good position - this time for Celta.

Luka Modric's touch is loose and he lunges into Renato Tapia, bringing down the Peruvian in a central position on the edge of the Real area.

Karim Benzema takes the free-kick but it's not troubling Ivan Villar.

The 33-year-old turns away in frustration. He feels he should have done a lot better there.

YELLOW CARD

Deary me, Celta are all over the place at the back.

Nestor Araujo inexplicably plays it straight to Karim Benzema inside the area, but Ivan Villar is equal to the Frenchman's shot.

Moments later, Denis Suarez picks up a yellow card for bringing down Casemiro on the edge of the Celta box.

Real win yet another free-kick after Casemiro is felled just inside the Celta half.

Luka Modric floats the ball in but there's no Real player on the end of it.

Celta made a bright start to the second half but Real are looking comfortable at the moment.

Apart from that Iago Aspas effort, Thibaut Courtois hasn't really been tested.

It's a dangerous delivery but Ivan Villar does well to punch the ball to safety.

Celta have a free-kick wide on the right, but Iago Aspas's floated delivery goes straight out of play.
