    Speaking to BBC Scotland Inverness Caley Thistle interim manager Neil McCann: "The boys have been doing this the last few weeks. I think that's as good a team performance as you're going to see. It needed to be against a Premiership side. The character they've shown in the last wee while was evident to go again."

    The game took a while to come to life with both sides trading blows in the first half.

    Billy McKay giving the home side the lead before Nikolay Todorov equalised just 43 seconds later.

    Caley Thistle go away deserved winners in the end, after a confident second half display. Daniel Mackay finishing off a fantastic solo goal before Shane Sutherland slammed home to secure their place in the fourth round.

    How on earth Ross County have Ross County not pulled one back?

    The ball is pinged around the six yard box with just about every County forward having a go at finding the net.

    The Caley Thistle defence holds strong.

    It's poor defending from Ross County as they allow the ball to drop into their box before it just sits up for Shane Sutherland.

    He makes no mistake hitting an early shot which catches out Ross Laidlaw.

    Inverness look to be seeing this game out as goalscorer Daniel Mackay makes way for Cameron Harper.

    The young defender usually plays at left back but is being deployed a bit further forward for these last six minutes.

    Inverness nearly kill this game off as Scott Allardice finds Roddy MacGregor out on the right hand side.

    The youngster chops past Leo Hjelde before laying off to Miles Storey but Coll Donaldson is in the way again to block the goal-bound effort.

    Brad McKay just gets his foot to it to divert the delivery away from the waiting Oli Shaw.

    The away side are playing with a real confidence and look likely to extend their lead.

    Scott Allan finds Nikolay Todorov in the box but the big Bulgarian's shot is well blocked by Coll Donaldson.

    The striker appeals for a penalty claiming it struck the defender's arm but they replays show they were ambitious claims.

    A long ball up finds Daniel Mackay but the young winger still has loads to do.

    He drives towards goal before splitting the gap between the County defenders and tucking the ball underneath Ross Laidlaw.
