  1. Bumper Scottish Cup edition of Sportscene

Host Jonathan Sutherland will be along soon, with Sportscene starting at 22:20 on BBC One Scotland. Tune in for highlights from the best of today's third round action.

Join us tomorrow for radio and text coverage of Rangers v Cove Rangers.

  2. Double draw on Sunday afternoon

The last 16 draw takes place tomorrow afternoon and we're in for a double helping, with the permutations for the quarter-finals also being decided.

So, lots of X plays Y if they beat Z to look forward to.

  3. Forrest revels in starting return

    FT: Celtic 3-0 Falkirk

Celtic winger James Forrest tells BBC Sportsound: "It's obviously great to start and get the goal. All round, I'm absolutely delighted after what I've been through for the last few months.

"I just want to keep playing games until the end of the season. You miss the pressure of playing with Celtic."

  4. 'Great to have Forrest back'

    FT: Celtic 3-0 Falkirk

Celtic interim manager John Kennedy tells BBC Sportsound it was "huge" having James Forrest back in the starting line-up.

"When you take guys of that calibre out of your team anyone misses it," he says. "That attacking intent and quality drops.

"He's got a hunger to score goals, he's probably disappointed he didn't score two, but its great to have him back."

  5. Kennedy happy with 'professional' performance

    FT: Celtic 3-0 Falkirk

Celtic interim manager John Kennedy tells BBC Sportsound: "We changed the shape a bit for the second half to give us a bit more width. That opened Falkirk up and gave us a bit more space.

"The boys were very professional, kept the ball moving and tired Falkirk out and then the spaces opened up. The boys have massive quality and that comes through in the end."

  6. 'Falkirk avoided embarrassment'

    FT: Celtic 3-0 Falkirk

    Steven Pressley

    Former Scotland defender

Quote Message: I think Falkirk will be relatively satisfied. Although they didn't really create anything, you don't want to come here and get embarrassed. They didn't get that and they also got a number of very good performances from the younger players.

  7. Almost there for last 16

    FT: Celtic 3-0 Falkirk

We now have 14 names through to the last 16.

Rangers take on Cove Rangers tomorrow evening and Hibernian face a tricky trip to Queen of the South on Monday night.

With no surprise results earlier today, Celtic are in the hat, along with Premiership rivals Aberdeen, Dundee United, Livingston, Kilmarnock, Motherwell, St Johnstone and St Mirren.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Morton represent the Championship, while there are three League 1 sides still standing: Clyde, Forfar Athletic and Montrose.

Stranraer are the only survivors from the fourth tier.

  8. FULL-TIME Celtic 3-0 Falkirk

Holders Celtic march into the last 16 of the Scottish Cup. Well, it was more of a stroll.

This was a one-sided contest against the under-strength League 1 leaders, with all of the goals coming after the interval.

Celtic keeper Scott Bain had absolutely nothing to do. No need to put his strip through the wash.

Ryan Christie scored the second goal for Celtic

    Celtic 3-0 Falkirk

Scott Brown still has the stamina to charge forward in search of a rare goal but Robbie Mutch makes his best save of the evening to keep out the veteran Celtic skipper's firm shot from 14 yards.

  10. CLOSE!

    Celtic 3-0 Falkirk

David Turnbull slips a pass through a gap in the exhausted Falkirk defence and Albian Ajeti tries to steer a low, first-time shot into the far corner. It drifts inches wide.

  11. Post update

    Celtic 3-0 Falkirk

Jonjoe Kenny arrives at the back post to receive a peach of a pass from Scott Brown but Robbie Mutch makes a brave save at the Celtic full-back's feet.

  12. 'Forrest boost for Scotland'

    Celtic 3-0 Falkirk

    Steven Pressley

Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: His physical condition added to James Forrest's game under Brendan Rodgers. It allowed him to work harder. It's not only Celtic that will benefit from him returning, I certainly think the national team will benefit.
  13. 'Shooting practice for Celtic'

    Celtic 3-0 Falkirk

    Pat Bonner

Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: Falkirk are very open and the energy has gone out of them. It's like shooting practice for Celtic
  14. GOAL Celtic 3-0 Falkirk

    Mohamed Elyounoussi

That's a lovely goal. Mohamed Elyounoussi runs on to a Jonjoe Kenny cross, takes the sting out of the ball, and then has the presence of mind to dink a cute finish beyond the keeper.

    Celtic goal
  15. A fine night's work for Forrest

    Celtic 2-0 Falkirk

James Forrest has a smile on his face as he troops off to be replaced by Mohamed Elyounoussi.

He found the breakthrough goal and has looked a menace on his first start in a long time.

Scotland boss Steve Clarke will probably be smiling too...

  16. Celtic send for Soro

    Celtic 2-0 Falkirk

Tom Rogic has done his bit for the evening and Ismaila Soro is on to add some energy to the Celtic midfield.

  17. Post update

    Celtic 2-0 Falkirk

Ryan Christie fancies a second goal, taking aim for the far post this time, but his curling attempt fizzes a yard or so wide.

  18. CLOSE!

    Celtic 2-0 Falkirk

It should be 3-0. Robbie Mutch does well to beat away a fierce shot from David Turnbull and the ball drops perfectly for James Forrest, but the winger somehow side-foots wide with the goal at his mercy.

  19. Double switch for Falkirk

    Celtic 2-0 Falkirk

First choice midfielders Blair Alston and Charlie Telfer will get 30 minutes or so as they take over from Kai Fotheringham and Robbie Leitch.

  20. Ajeti on for Griffiths

    Celtic 2-0 Falkirk

The evening is over for Leigh Griffiths, with Albian Ajeti taking over up front for Celtic.

Frustrating is probably the word you'd use to describe Griffiths' contribution. Lots of near things in the penalty area but the killer touch was missing.
