  1. Goodnight all

That'll do us tonight. Thanks for joining me everyone.

Good night's work for our two Scottish representatives, eh?

Let's hope that continues as the season goes on.

  2. Referee's performance 'difficult to comprehend' - Ross

    FT: Hibernian 3-0 Santa Coloma

Hibs boss Jack Ross tells BBC Sportsound: "It went from relatively going to plan and calm to mayhem. Officiating was questionable for both teams.

On sending off: "You then have to adapt and find a way to win the game. We got spooked going down to 10 men and half-time was good for us. We were a lot better second half.

On referee: "You win the game so maybe the frustration is less. But it was a puzzling performance from early on. There were a lot of unnecessary cautions. It was difficult to comprehend, but thankfully it hasn't impacted the result."

  5. 'Fans gave us huge lift' - Considine

    FT: Aberdeen 5-1 Hacken

Aberdeen defender Andy Considine tells BBC Sportsound: "It was great to have fans back in, that gave us a huge lift.

"We played great stuff and got after them. The first goal was huge for us and it settled us even more.

"All in all it was a solid, solid performance. The boys were outstanding, they worked so hard.

"I love playing this game and playing for this club - it's my number one."

  6. 'Great for Scottish football'

    Willie Miller

Former Aberdeen defender on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: We have two teams that look like they're going into the next round, it's great news for Scottish football. On the back of the Euros, everything is going great.
  7. 'They blew Hacken away'

    FT: Aberdeen 5-1 Hacken

    Willie Miller

Former Aberdeen defender on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: You couldn't have asked for a better first game of the season in front of fans at Pittodrie. You couldn't have dreamt that was going to happen. They blew Hacken away.
  8. 'Quality we showed deserved victory' - Glass

    FT: Aberdeen 5-1 Hacken

Aberdeen boss Stephen Glass tells BBC Sportsound: "I don't think you can stand here and say you're going to score five goals, but I could sense that excitement in the players.

"I'm delighted the players get the reward for the work they've done the last five weeks.

"The quality we showed deserved the victory. We believe we are doing the right things. The team showed that against a very good team. We shouldn't underestimate how good they [Hacken] were tonight."

  10. Potential third-round opponents?

Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm not trying to jinx anything here but the draw has actually already been made for the next round of qualifying.

If Aberdeen progress, they will be tasked with either Austria Vienna or Icelandic side Breidablik.

As for Hibs, it's Rijeka of Croatia or Maltese outfit Gzira United.

Austria Vienna and Breidablik are level at 1-1 after the first leg, while Rijeka have a two-goal lead going into their second leg.

Perhaps more challenging ties but also winnable ties ones for both Scottish clubs.

  11. 'Great reward for Dons fans'

    FT: Aberdeen 5-1 Hacken

    Willie Miller

Former Aberdeen defender on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: It was a game full of everything good about football. Aberdeen were creative and dominated the game. They had the fans at the edge of their seats, they loved it and it's a great reward for their loyalty.
  12. FULL-TIME - Aberdeen 5-1 Hacken

Well, what a performance that was from Aberdeen.

A scintillating attacking display sees goals from Andy Considine, Christain Ramirez, Connor McLennan and two from Lewis Ferguson give the Dons a four-goal lead going into next week's second leg.

  13. FULL-TIME - Hibernian 3-0 Santa Coloma

Jack Ross' side are well on their way to qualification after a feisty encounter with Santa Coloma.

A Martin Boyle brace and Kevin Nisbet finish have Hibs well in control of the tie.

But the referee was busy in poor showing as Hibs' Joe Newall and Santa Coloma's Santos Escolano and Ramos Isus were all dismissed.

    Hibernian 3-0 Santa Coloma

So close to a fourth for Hibs as Alex Gogic touches a flashing cross from the right on to the post.

  15. Post update

    Aberdeen 5-1 Hacken

Christian Ramirez is brought off with just a couple of minutes to go.

The American is given a standing ovation as Brighton loanee Teddy Jenks replaces.

  16. GOAL! Aberdeen 5-1 Hacken

    Connor McLennan

    What a goal again!!

Substitute McLennan takes the ball in the box, his turn is sublime and the finish is even better.

The young Scot almost scoops the ball over Abrahamsson in the Hacken goal.

    Tie over... surely.
