James Doe: Well, after the first four races were full of drama, we were due a proper dull one.

    Lap 66/66

Lewis Hamilton comes round to begin the final lap.

A second win of the season is firmly in his hands after a comfortable Sunday afternoon drive.

  10. 'Ferrari very wrong'

    Lap 65/66

    Jolyon Palmer

Former Renault driver on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

I can't see why Ferrari pitted Vettel again. They thought it was a two-stop race, but they have been proved very wrong and that is why Vettel is fourth.

That second pit stop has cost them the podium.

  11. Post update

    Lap 65/66

Penultimate lap and wee're firmly heading towards a Mercedes one-two. Valtteri Bottas is 6.6 seconds ahead of Max Verstappen, who is third.

  12. Post update

    Lap 64/66

Strange, Valtteri Bottas is told to fuel save.

"The more I save, the more I lose grip," he responds.

  13. Post update

    Lap 62/66

Daniel Ricciardo with a new fastest time, clocking 1:18.441 but it's not going to be enough to change his position given he's 20 seconds away from Sebastian Vettel with a handful of laps remaining.

  16. Top 5 as it stands

    Lap 59/66

The top five looks like this at the moment:

    1) Hamilton

    2) Bottas +18.5

    3) Verstappen +9.3

    4) Vettel +2.3

    5) Ricciardo 20.3

  17. 'A good job'

    Lap 58/66

    Jolyon Palmer

Former Renault driver on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Kevin Magnussen, we have barely mentioned him, he is running along in the most lonely race off all time (in sixth). He has come into some criticism but he has done a good job today and looks like bagging Haas some good points.

  18. Post update

    Lap 58/66

The radio crackles and Fernando Alonso's ears prick up as he is told rain is forming to the west.

Immediate disappointment, though, as he is told it's "quite far away".

  19. Post update

    Lap 57/66

Daniel Ricciardo of Red Bull Racing

Daniel Ricciardo puts in a new lap record with 1:19.093 but he is all alone in fifth. Sebastian Vettel, who is fourth, is almost 19 seconds ahead of him.

Nine laps to go and it's going to take something special to make for a dramatic end to this race. I suppose we can't have thrillers every race weekend.
