  1. Too close to call

    .

Max Verstappen fastest in first practice and Lewis Hamilton quickest in second. After a season of very little between them did we expect anything else on the first day of the final race weekend?

Tomorrow, however, is when things should really hot up as qualifying takes place.

First there's one final session of practice at 10am and we'll be back with build up from 09:30. See you then.

Huge cheers for Kimi Raikkonen as he hops out of the medical car and walks into his garage while his Alfa Romeo is lifted off the track.

  7. 'Mercedes a bit stronger'

    Jolyon Palmer

    Former Renault driver

Mercedes are a little bit stronger at the moment, they looked it in that session. Both cars very quick over one lap.

On the face of it, Mercedes are looking OK. My emotions are excitement and I don't think we have seen a real knockout blow from either.

  10. Crash!

Right at the end of the session and Kimi Raikkonen has crashed into the wall at Turn 14 pretty heavily.

He's out of the car and OK but there's a lot of damage to his car.

  13. Get involved

    #bbcf1

Jeremiah Kariuki: The race pace simulations by both Red Bulls and Mercedes, either there is sandbagging or there are mind games going on.

Simon Baker: Although the average speed per lap is far quicker than before, I have to say that I'm sceptical with how good the racing will actually be, taking aside the tension Hamilton & Verstappen will be feeling
