    #FAPeoplesCup

Of course a massive tournament like the FA People's Cup can't take place without lots of help, so we say a massive 'HERE, HERE' to this message from the University of Manchester.

Well done to all of the volunteers and referees who have helped out at all of the venues around the country.

Billy Ray Mansell was taking part in his first competitive tournament in a disability sport today.

Suffering with Fibromyalgia, Billy Ray admitted "It's been a struggle but with a couple of training sessions under my belt, seven months of a multi-disciplinary approach off medication, daily dedication to day-to-day management of my health and training with graded exercise.

He was "honoured" to play for Southend Soccability FC in Southend and, though they sadly didn't make it through, he was happy with the win they got and he even scored a few goals.

"I am more than happy!" he said.

    Well done Billy.

  10. GREAT SAVE!

    Emily Mann

BBC Get Inspired reporter at the venues

A 2-2 draw with Newton-le-Willows Friday (as opposed to Newton-le-Willows Masters, who were also in the same Male Veterans category in Manchester) in their opening game was followed by a 3-2 win over The Pilferers, which left an all-to-play-for final game against Sale Madrid.

    It started off well.....
