    The third and final period gets underway with the Giants one behind on the night but leading 9-6 on aggregate.

    It's been a shoot-out so far, the Giants coach Adam Keefe will not want the same open play in the last 20 minutes as he tries to guide his side to the Challenge Cup final.

    Giants all time leading scorer Colin Shields gets the loudest cheer of the night as he scores early in the third to make it 5-5 on the night (10-6 on aggregate).

    Just as it looked comfortable, Panthers Mark Derlago fires home to silence the home fans and set up a nervy last ten minutes.

    Nottingham Panthers gamble as they pull their net minder only for Jonathan Ferland to score two empty net goals within a minute and give the home side a 7-6 lead on the night.

    And that's how it finishes, Belfast Giants reach the Challenge Cup final in Cardiff after a topsy turvy semi-final second leg in Belfast.
