  2. Goodbye!

    Patricky Pitbull wins

Right, that is all from us but I'll leave you with the fight-winning moment, plus Coral Barry's report from the ground.

    See you next time!

  3. 'When's the rematch?' asks McGregor

A certain Mr McGregor has been watching.

On Twitter he said: "Good fight, one apiece.

"That's 1-1 from my scorecard. When's the rematch?"

  4. 'He's kept this promotion going'

    Josh Thomson

Former Bellator lightweight on BBC iPlayer

He and his brother have been the pillars of this organisation. To see him finally get this is amazing. As a fighter you want him to win.

He's helped keep this promotion going.

But as one man's dream comes true another is crushed. I feel so sorry for Peter Queally.

  5. 'I want to thank my brother'

    BBC iPlayer

Patricky Pitbull says on BBC iPlayer: "I do my team's strategy exactly.

"[Facing the crowd] it doesn't matter, I'm the warrior, I'm the king, the champ.

"I won't to thank my brother for helping me be the champ.

"Now I stay here, enjoy the place. Enjoy the beer, I love it, let's go!"

  6. Post update

    Patricky Pitbull

The crowd is stunned and silent once again. These last two fights have not gone to script but that was an incredible finish by Patricky Pitbull.

  7. 'A good stoppage'

    John McCarthy

Former MMA referee on BBC iPlayer

He's in trouble, wobbly legs, he's not in control.

There's no movement, no exchange and the referee stops the fight.

A good stoppage and a big win. We have a new lightweight champion.

  8. BreakingPitbull becomes Bellator lightweight champion

    Pitbull becomes Bellator lightweight champion

Patricky Pitbull lands a strong right that sends Peter Queally to the floor. Queally scrambles to his feet but a vicious combo sends him down again and Pitbull moves in to land a flurry of hits before the referee steps in.

    Pitbull wins!

  9. Round Two

    Oh wow!

Patricky Pitbull is not only able to continue but he comes flying out aggressively and has Peter Queally on the ropes!

  10. Post update

    John McCarthy

Former MMA referee on BBC iPlayer

Nice to see the referee Kevin MacDonald giving a fighter time to clear up. This fight is too big not to.

  11. Round Two

Patricky Pitbull is caught by an eye poke and he's being checked out by a doctor to see if he can continue...

  12. Post update

    Coral Barry

BBC Sport combat sports editor in London

I think Peter is trying to tire Patricky out. Letting him offload and keeping his lead leg up so not to take much damage from low kicks.

  13. Round One

    Peter Queally

Aggressive start by Peter Queally as he looks to land a kick to the body. Patricky Pitbull stays on guard, looking for opportunities of his own. He throws a couple of punches to the body, trying to lower Queally's guard.

Both connect with a couple of punches to the face before Queally attempts a sweeping kick but Pitbull responds with a nice combo before the bell.

Not much between them in round one.

  14. Post update

    John McCarthy

Former MMA referee on BBC iPlayer

Peter Queally is a zombie. You'll have to take his head off to stop him.

    Here we go!

History as Peter Queally becomes the first Irish fighter ever to contest a major world title on home soil.

Will he make even more history by winning it as well?

Queally is out to the sound of Zombie by The Cranberries and the crowd sing along as he makes his way to the cage.

    Spinetingling.
