  1. Post update

    Q4: Northern Ireland 41-41 Zimbabwe

It's goal for goal here and you can see in every players' face that they know any mistake will cost their team.

It's very tense. Very loud. And very brilliant.

  2. Back under way for the final quarter

    Q4: Northern Ireland 39-39 Zimbabwe

  3. Post update

    Q4: Northern Ireland 39-39 Zimbabwe

You'd be brave to predict the winner of this one with any confidence.

    Northern Ireland world ranking: Eight

    Zimbabwe world ranking: 13

  4. End of third quarter

    Q3: Northern Ireland 39-39 Zimbabwe

    What a frenetic third quarter!

Northern Ireland edged ahead but they just couldn't push on, mainly because Zimbabwe would not let them.

    Scores are locked yet again.

  5. Post update

    Q3: Northern Ireland 38-39 Zimbabwe

    Zimbabwe take the lead!!!

  6. Post update

    Q3: Northern Ireland 38-38 Zimbabwe

The Zimbabwe fans, if you can believe it, are dancing and singing even more animatedly and EVEN LOUDER than ever.

But the Northern Ireland fans are giving them the best they have, too. It's literally bouncing in here.

  7. Post update

    Q3: Northern Ireland 38-36 Zimbabwe

Under three minutes to go in this quarter. Zimbabwe pushing to level the scores again.

    Emma Magee and Claris Kwaramba
  8. Ruthless display from Australia.

    FT: Australia 99-24 Sri Lanka

A thrashing from 11-time champions Australia. They fall just shy of three figures as they beat Sri Lanka in their final stage one match to qualify as winners of Group A.

Caitlin Thwaites finished with sensational figures as she missed just one of her 66 shots. That's a 98% shooting accuracy. Unreal!

  9. Post update

    Q3: Northern Ireland 37-34 Zimbabwe

Yikes, that was optimistic from Caroline O'Hanlon as her pass sails over Noleen Armstrong's out-stretched arms and into the waiting hands of GK Rudo Karume.

Not even Mr Gadget Man would have got to that one.

    Remember him?

  10. Post update

    Q3: Northern Ireland 36-32 Zimbabwe

Caution for Zimbabwe's WD Claris Kwaramba for persistent infringements. She had already had a talking to from the umpire on a number of occasions.

    Skating on thin, erm, court...

  11. Post update

    Q3: Northern Ireland 36-32 Zimbabwe

Noleen Armstrong is happy with that shot as she flashes a smile to the fans in the crowd behind her.

Zimbabwe switch the play in the shooting circle to get another of their own.

Four goals in it, six minutes to play in this quarter.

    Noleen Armstrong and Rudo Karume
  12. Post update

    Q3: Northern Ireland 34-31 Zimbabwe

Fionnuala Toner is having a right tussle with Zimbabwe WA Ndaizivei Madzikangava. It's actually one of many personal battles going on out there.

Is Northern Ireland's experience on the big stage starting to show?

  13. Post update

    Q3: Northern Ireland 33-30 Zimbabwe

A brilliant intercept from Michelle Magee at GD isn't capitalised on as Zimbabwe win it back.

But then the momentum shifts back to Northern Ireland and they score this time.

  14. Post update

    Q3: Northern Ireland 31-30 Zimbabwe

There have been a couple of changes for Northern Ireland.

Fionnuala Toner switched from GD to WD. Michelle Magee comes into the defence and replaces Niamh Cooper.

  15. Post update

    Q3: Northern Ireland 31-30 Zimbabwe

Northern Ireland gradually work the ball around the centre court but it's one pass too many as Zimbabwe get the steal on the edge of the shooting circle.

It's a wasted opportunity though as Northern Ireland win it back through dogged work yet again from captain Caroline O'Hanlon.

    Caroline O'Hanlon and Patricia Mauladi
  16. Post update

Zimbabwe go down the other end and Sharon Bwanali scores her first goal of the game.

  17. We're under way for the third quarter

    Q3: Northern Ireland 27-27 Zimbabwe

    Q3: Australia 75-22 Sri Lanka

Australia have extended their lead over Sri Lanka at the end of the third quarter. They are going top of Group A! Caitlin Thwaites has still only missed one shot... 50/51. Incredible!
