  1. That's all folks

I'm signing off on what was a night to remember for Alastair Seeley as his Supersport win gave him a record 16th North West 200 victory.

Congratulations to the Wee Wizard and best wishes for a speedy recovery to Dan Cooper and Ryan Farquhar.

Ryan has chest and pelvic injuries while Dan sustained shoulder injuries.

We're back on Saturday morning for live text commentary on the six races including the Superbikes.

  2. Racing abandoned

The incident involving Dan Cooper and Ryan Farquhar has resulted in an early end to Thursday night's racing. The opening Superstock race will now be moved to Saturday's programme.

  3. Cooper and Farquhar in crash

Another update from race organisers on the Supertwins race.

"Two riders, Ryan Farquhar (KMR/SGS Kawasaki) and Dan Cooper (Dan Cooper Racing Kawasaki), crashed at Black Hill on the third lap of the Supertwins race.

"As a result the race was red flagged. Neither rider has suffered life threatening injuries. Dan Cooper will be taken to the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine. Ryan Farquhar will be taken to hospital in Belfast."

  4. Supertwins race stopped on lap three

  5. Dan's the man

Dan Cooper moves in front in what is developing into another titanic duel with Ryan Farquhar. James Hillier is back in third but close enough to make a late charge.

  6. Go! Go! Go!

They're away again and hopefully we'll get all four laps completed this time. Ryan Farquhar makes a blistering start and the Dungannon rider leads from James Hillier and Dan Cooper.

  7. Supertwins restart

An update from the race organisers:

"The Supertwins race that was red flagged because of a fire incident in the vicinity of Station corner will restart at 7.45pm and will run over the full four laps distance."

Race organisers have released a statement:

"A fire at a property in the vicinity of Station Corner has led to the Supertwins race being red flagged on the second lap. Fire appliances are on their way to the scene."

Racing has been delayed to 19:40

  19. Seeley savours record win

Alastair Seeley, who also posted a lap record on his way to setting a new best of 16 victories, was delighted after making North West 200 history.

Quote Message: I'm speechless - totally overwhelmed. It was a dogfight out there but I felt on the last lap that I could push on to win. It's nice to finally get the record and I can sit back a little now. from Alastair Seeley NW 200 record breaker
