  1. Farewell

    FT: Hull FC 51-8 Catalans

    Hull FC celebrate

Well that was a thumping victory for Hull FC, so soon after a thumping defeat by Huddersfield as well!

Meanwhile, 2018 winners Catalans looked shocked at Hull's dominance in that second half and Steve McNamara will be disappointed in their performance.

Well we know the first of this season's Challenge Cup semi-finalists. Tomorrow, Hull KR take on Warrington as we find out the second.

We'll be bringing you live text and radio coverage of that tomorrow. For now, thank you for joining us.

  2. 'A disgusting second half'

    FT: Hull FC 51-8 Catalans

Catalans full-back Sam Tomkins told Sky Sports:

"We were poor the first 15 minutes and we clawed our way into it. We knew at half time we had to improve but we had a disgusting second 40 minutes.

"We've got to concentrate on doing something in the league. We've proved we can beat the best times in the competition but we can also be the worst as well.

"We've got to be consistent. We're third in the league and we can't kick off after losing in the Challenge Cup. We've got to focus and rebuild."

  3. 'We step up for cup games'

    FT: Hull FC 51-8 Catalans

Hull FC scrum-half Marc Sneyd told Sky Sports:

"It's crazy, for some reason we step up for the cup games. It's a trophy at the end of the day and we always seem to bring our best rugby when they come around.

"Our attitude and backing up from what we dished up last week, we owed it to ourselves more than anything.

"We know we're a miles better team than last week. It's just us as individuals. We seem to turn up when we want and it's just not good enough."

  4. Full time

    Hull FC 51-8 Catalans

All over. Hull FC are through to the semi-finals and the holders are out.

That was as good a second half performance as you will see from any Super League side this season and Hull deserve their win.

Catalans looked off the pace, meanwhile.

  5. TRY: Hull FC 51-8 Catalans

    Danny Houghton

The thrashing of Catalans continues with Marc Sneyd cheekily dropping the ball off to Danny Houghton who runs in with ease.

Great stuff from the hosts who have constantly demanded more despite their huge lead.

Sneyd adds the two as they pass the 50-mark.

  6. Post update

    Hull FC 45-8 Catalans

Hull FC are just seeing this game out as a formality right now.

This result has really knocked the wind out of Catalans' sails.

  7. TRY: Hull FC 45-8 Catalans

    Jamie Shaul

This is turning into a rout and Jamie Shaul bags himself a try from an easy Albert Kelly offload.

The hosts are coasting now and 2018 winners Catalans are all but out now.

Marc Sneyd kicks another two directly in front of the sticks.

  8. TRY: Hull FC 39-8 Catalans

    Ratu Naulago

Out. Of. Sight. Hull FC are surely going to the semi-finals now.

Ratu Naulago works onto a free ball and powers past Lewis Tierney to touch down his second try of the evening.

Marc Sneyd makes it 39-8 with the boot and that's a huge lead.

  9. DROP-GOAL: Hull FC 33-8 Catalans

    Marc Sneyd

Marc Sneyd punts over a drop goal as Hull FC's reign of supremacy in this second half continues.

They have been stunning since the restart and Sneyd adds an extra point on the board.

  10. Post update

    Hull FC 32-8 Catalans

Brayden Wiliame looks to salvage this match with a brave run in at the corner but some tremendous defensive work from Hull FC half-back Albert Kelly holds him up right at the line.

Surely the hosts can't let this slip, now?

  11. Post update

    Hull FC 32-8 Catalans

Jake Connor comes down awkwardly in an aerial challenge for the ball and looks to have sustained some damage to his right knee.

However he's right back up after a short spell of treatment and ready to continue, much to the pleasure of the home crowd.

  12. TRY: Hull FC 32-8 Catalans

    Albert Kelly

    Albert Kelly, take a bow.

The Hull FC half-back drops a shoulder as he wrong foots the Catalans defensive line to run in unopposed at the sticks and surely the hosts have an unassailable lead.

Marc Sneyd makes no mistake with the boot to add the extra two.

  13. Post update

    Hull FC 26-8 Catalans

Lovely kicking from Marc Sneyd in this game is helping the hosts break deep into the Catalans half and is keeping them pegged back.

Every set of six Hull have, they're bossing. It's the polar opposite of their performance against Huddersfield at the Magic Weekend when they appeared to panic every time they had the ball.

    Great stuff, this.

  14. TRY: Hull FC 26-8 Catalans

    Ratu Naulago

That is absolutely sensational! Hull FC are surely out of sight, now!

Ratu Naulago picks up the ball pretty much at the halfway line and he sprints his way towards a try that gives the hosts a formidable lead.

Marc Sneyd converts and it looks like the holders are crashing out at the quarter-final stage.

  15. Post update

    Hull FC 20-8 Catalans

Blimey this game's still in the balance!

Hull FC make a mess of clearing up a loose ball right at the try-line as Joe Westerman frantically kicks the ball away from Sam Kasiano, who dives to try and effectively ground the ball for a try.

  16. TRY: Hull FC 20-8 Catalans

    Sika Manu

It's another try for the hosts and they're bossing the second half, now!

Sika Manu scores his first try of the competition this season and runs in despite some Catalans pressure and seems to sheepishly pull up immediately after crossing over before momentarily coming off the field for some treatment.

Marc Sneyd adds the two and all of a sudden, the hosts look well in control.

  17. Post update

    Hull FC 14-8 Catalans

Catalans' Tony Gigot knocks on soon after the restart following a Marc Sneyd kick to cheers from the home supporters.

A greasy surface or a lapse in concentration? You be the judge, but it's not going the visitors' way in this second half.

  18. PENALTY: Hull FC 14-8 Catalans

    Marc Sneyd

Hull FC's pressure after breaking downfield has been rewarded with a penalty and Marc Sneyd makes no mistake with the boot.

The hosts extend their lead to within a converted try of Catalans, who could do with finding the line themselves and quick.

  19. Post update

    Hull FC 12-8 Catalans

Catalans have come out of the blocks hunting an early try which could turn the game in their favour as the second half begins to tick down.

However they can't quite work their way to the line as Hull win the ball back on the turnover.

This one's finely poised as it stands, folks.

  20. Post update

    Hull FC 12-8 Catalans

Out come the players for the second half.

Can holders Catalans remain in the competition or are Hull FC on the way to victory?
