Darren Crason: Week in week out how good is @EnglandRugby lock Joe Launchbury, so effective, got to be on the plane #LionsWatch

James Deeley:  The downside of the bonus point system is that we already know who's won with a weekend left to go.

Simon Trenchard:  Just the Triple Crown and Grand Slam to go!!

  2. Post update

    England 54-21 Scotland

Scotland defending furiously to deny England a final try and win at least the last battle of the war.

Maro Itoje and Mako Vunipola are both repelled by mobs of blue shirts.

  3. Post update

    England 54-21 Scotland

The clock has gone red as the referee fusses over a series of scrum re-sets.

When will Monsieur Raynal put the Scots out of their misery?

Swing Low is ringing out loud and long in the stands.

  4. Post update

    England 54-21 Scotland

Or should that be Owen Farrell 24 Scotland 21?

The England fly-half has bagged enough points with his right boot to beat the Scots on his own.

The only blemish from 11 attempts at goal was that missed penalty from inside the Scottish half just before half-time.

    England v Scotland
  5. Post update

    England 54-21 Scotland

England are knocking on the door once again...

George Ford goes for an unconventional seventh try, punting across field with the advantage in his back pocket.

Jack Nowell chases gamely, but Duncan Weir has that one covered.

Back for a scrum five out. Shove-over time?

  6. A true perfectionist

    England 54-21 Scotland

    Matt Dawson

England World Cup winner on BBC Radio 5 live

If we're going to be really fussy here, Anthony Watson could have cut a nice angle there back inside but England's handling has been superb.

  7. Post update

    England 54-21 Scotland

So close to another try from England.

Scotland's defence are sent into reverse by Ben Te'o and Jamie George's charges and only a superb cover tackle can deny Anthony Watson from getting over out wide.

  8. Post update

    England 54-21 Scotland

    Ouch.

One of the biggest hits of the afternoon and it is friendly fire as England wing Anthony Watson bounces off the chest of mammoth team-mate Kyle Sinckler.

Watson is decked. Sinckler barely registered.

  9. Post update

    England 54-21 Scotland

Scotland are finally starting to rack up some metres, with Tim Visser sneaking into the top five individual chart. Little consolation.

England's team total of 457 dwarfing Scotland's 232 is indicative of the damage done by the home attack.

    England v Scotland
  10. Care over for England

    England 54-21 Scotland

Defences are going to the dogs.

Danny Care , off the bench, is perfectly positioned on Billy Vunipola's shoulder as the England number eight picks and goes from the base of a scrum.

Over he goes as does Owen Farrell's conversion kick.

England's Danny Care celebrates scoring a try
  11. 'Almost inconceivable'

    England 52-21 Scotland

    Gavin Hastings

Former Scotland full-back on BBC Radio 5 live

There was such a build-up to this game and chat of the Scottish renaissance, well that lasted all of about a minute...

The game as a contest finished a long time ago, it has fizzled out and somehow Scotland have scored three converted tries which seemed almost inconceivable.

  12. Try - England 52-21 Scotland

    Danny Care

  13. Eddie Jones will be livid

    England 47-21 Scotland

    Matt Dawson

England World Cup winner on BBC Radio 5 live

    Fair play to the Scots.

Eddie Jones and his coaching staff will be livid.

The way that Wales last night kept Ireland to nil on the try count shows real organisation.

This will not please the England head coach. It's not like them, usually their bench come on and add intensity.

  14. Jones converts late Scotland pressure

    England 47-21 Scotland

Excellent work from Finn Russell as he loops round to take a return pass of Richie Gray in midfield and throw a long looping pass out to Huw Jones.

The Scotland centre finishes his second try as well as his first, stepping inside the cover and withstanding the blast of corner-flagging forwards to get over.

A pinpoint conversion from Finn Russell as well.

  15. Try - England 47-19 Scotland

    Huw Jones

  16. Crowd too quiet

    England 47-14 Scotland

    Matt Dawson

England World Cup winner on BBC Radio 5 live

England are 47-14 up, I'm waiting for the crowd to kick on a bit.

Even they're feeling like this is a bit of a non-event.

  17. Post update

    England 47-14 Scotland

Huw Jones sits down Owen Farrell with a bullocking run. Tim Visser takes the ball on and Scotland are up to within five...

  18. Post update

    England 47-14 Scotland

Tim Visser with another break - this time right though the heart of the England defence after evading James Haskell.

But Jack Nowell doesn't make a mistake this time, taking his man down with a brave front-on tackle.

And Mike Brown is in quickly to strip the ball.

  19. Post update

    England 47-14 Scotland

Tim Visser squirms clear of Jack Nowell with a neat step after Finn Russell opens up the blindside.

The Scotland wing's basketball-style pass inside though is snaffled by George Ford on the cover.

  20. Replacement

    England 47-14 Scotland

Mako Vunipola has sneaked on to replace Joe Marler in the England front row as well.
