  1. Bye for now

But that's it for us today. Thanks for joining me - not a bad way to start a Tuesday was it?

Join us on Saturday for - from the Lions' perspective - that must-win second Test, also from Wellington.

We'll be firing up the keyboards from 07:30 BST and we'll have loads of analysis from the likes of Ugo Monye and Paul Grayson, Chris Jones and co will be chipping in from the scene and I'll be your host and wordsmith.

See you then - and in the meantime, try not to get sin-binend at a crucial moment...

The Henderson debate looks set to run and run - you can head over to the BBC rugby union Twitter account or the BBC Sport Facebook page if you want to continue with it!

James Bowen: RE: Henderson - Yes he cost 14 points, but that was his value to the team OFF the pitch, must have a bench chance

Geoff Smyth: The fact Gatland brought Lawes off and not Henderson shows his thoughts. If he had brought Henderson off the sin-bin goes away

Rob Woodger: Henderson and Lawes were awesome today. Big decisions for Gatland at the weekend. Can't help thinking "wasted call ups"

Simeon Ayling: "blotted his copybook"??? He cost the game. Hurricanes scored two tries when he was off the pitch for his lunacy.

  5. The boss's view?

Lions head coach Warren Gatland on Sky Sports: That yellow card was going to be a penalty to us. It's been reversed, Iain Henderson has gone off reducing us to 14 men - and in that 10 minutes the game has gone.

Henderson carried really well for us. We thought he had got over from short range - that's nine times we have been held up on or over the line on this tour and not been awarded a try.

Henderson carried excellently and got in behind them, so did some other players.

  6. What about Henderson?

Lawes' fellow lock Iain Henderson also impressed, carrying for a forwards-high 48 metres - but he blotted his copybook with that yellow card for a tip tackle as he was clearing out a ruck.

Like Lawes he is versatile enough to play blind-side as well as lock - has he done enough to also force himself into the reckoning?

  7. Enough to book a Test spot?

Courtney Lawes went into the game being tipped as a possible for Saturday's second Test 23.

He was withdrawn - pre-emptively with Saturday in mind perhaps? - after 55 minutes during which he impressed with 10 carries, two defenders beaten and eight tackles.

Nat Jenkins: the game was lost in those 10 minutes Henderson was off the field...silly errors cost points and the make prizes!

Dougie Watson: Henderson did a lot but to be sin binned and lose 14 points, does not get you a start against ABs

Chris Podd: For all the good work Henderson's done in this game, he has unfortunately cost the Lions a momentum building win

    Chris Jones

BBC 5 live rugby union reporter at Westpac stadium, Wellington

Despite his titanic performance, Iain Henderson's yellow card proved costly for the Lions, and in the end a draw is a fair result.

However, despite his players clearly flagging, Gatland refused to empty his bench.

It means the topic of the "geography six" will again come up in the aftermath.

On the one hand, Gatland hasn't devalued the jersey by giving out caps easily; but on the other, the Lions drew a game they should have won.

  11. Tartan Touch - boosting the Scottish game

    #GetInspired

"You don't need to be a 20-stone colossus to play rugby..."

Watch as former Scottish internationals Chris Paterson and Al Kellock (OK, he IS a colossus) introduce Tartan Touch - a scheme promoting the non-contact version of rugby to help grow the game north of the border.

British and Irish Lions captain Rory Best speaking to Sky Sports: You can't fault the effort, perhaps our composure a little bit. I don't know if it was a penalty but Iain Henderson was tremendous tonight and we have to be bigger than a yellow card.

  13. Ugo live shortly

Former Lion Ugo Monye will be live on the BBC Sport Facebook page shortly to answer your questions. Visit www.facebook.com/bbcsport now, like the page, and you’ll get a notification when he’s ready.

  15. Missed drop-goal shot

Hurricanes 31-31 British and Irish Lions

    Dan Biggar for the victory.....

    Nope, just short.

And the ball dribbles dead as the players drop to their knees in exhaustion.

    Turnover to the Lions!

    Drop-goal territory?

Still we got on with the game in the balance...

Hurricanes 31-31 British and Irish Lions

Lions are 35m out as Joe Marler gets his horns down and charges.

But Jack Nowell is held up on the next phase. He can't get to ground and we will restart with a Hurricanes scrum deep in their own territory.

We are in the red. Will they run for glory or kick to touch for an honourable draw?

    The former I suspect.

Hurricanes 31-31 British and Irish Lions

The Lions drive the maul up to the Hurricanes 10m line. It heaps up, but was not brought to ground illegally says the referee.

Jonathan Joseph steps and shuffles but cannot quite get clear.

Lions rolling through the phases in search of victory...

  19. Post update

Hurricanes 31-31 British and Irish Lions

Yep, penalty given against Ngani Laumape.

Dan Biggar boots up towards halfway. Rory Best will throw into the line-out.

Three to go. Can the tourists snatch victory?

    Nial Foster

BBC Sport Northern Ireland at Westpac Stadium, Wellington

Iain Henderson has beaten as many defenders and made more metres with the ball in hand than Julian Savea, what more does the Ulster man have to do to earn a place in Warren Gatland's Test squad?

Despite spending 10 minutes in the sin bin for dangerous play, the former Belfast Royal Academy workhorse was all over the pitch putting in a performance that All Blacks lock Brodie Retallick would be proud of.

The 25-year-old marries his childhood sweetheart six days after the Lions tour finishes. Based on today's performance, Saturday could be the first of a few big days in July for the 6ft 6in lock. Will Warren Gatland say 'yes' to a Test match selection?
