Sam: It's so nice to see Andy Nicol happy and optimistic about Scotland for a change. They've certainly earned it!

'Credit to the Scots'

FT: Scotland 17-22 New Zealand

Kieran Read

New Zealand captain Kieran Read on BBC One:

"We know that Stuart Hogg is a dangerous player, it's just a good thing for us that we have Beauden Barrett. That moment epitomised the Test match.

"It was a massive challenge, but we knew it would be that way. They came out and threw the ball around. Full credit to the Scots.

'A disappointing loss'

The Fijians are still out on the pitch in Dublin, singing, and enjoying each others company.

Meanwhile lock Leone Nakarawa told Sky Sports: "Today was a diappointing game for us, we didn't play to our strengths and we didn't stick to our system.

"That resulted in a disappointing loss today.

"But we are going forward. Things don't end here. We are building up this for a better future and we will forget about the loss. We learnt a lot of lessons, we knocked the ball forward a lot."

Clinical All Blacks

This try from Beauden Barrett proved to be decisive in the end - the kind of slick, pacy and clinical play you associate with the All Blacks.

Beauden Barrett scores New Zealand's third try against Scotland.

Scotland 17-22 New Zealand

Paul O'Connell

Former Ireland captain on BBC Two

I think it is an opportunity lost for Scotland, they should have won this game.

Their scrum let them down and when they were five metres out they didn't create enough.

Full-time

Ireland 23-20 Fiji

And that's a wrap.

Ireland scrape the narrowest of victories over a resilient Fijian side.

They claim their second win of the autumn internationals after a fascinating contest in Dublin.

Ireland 23-20 Fiji

We're the last ones standing in Ireland after a mammoth day of international rugby.

This has been a tight one, but the home side look to have won it.

One minute on the clock as we bed down for a scrum after a Fijian knock on.

Ireland, Ireland rings out around the Aviva Stadium.

Ireland 23-20 Fiji

The whistle goes from the referee, but Cian Healy can't hear him, or he's ignoring him.

The Irish forward is tackled, but he tries his luck and gets up not once, but twice, to cross the whitewash.

Ireland are hauled back though and Fiji use the penalty to clear their lines.

Three minutes left in Dublin.

Patrick McLaughlin: Great effort from Scotland. Great game of rugby. Exciting finish.

Paul Adam: No idea how Scotland have lost that match.

Martyn Wardle: Some great rugby by Scotland. Also some ridiculously stupid decision making by Scotland.

Scotland 17-22 New Zealand

It was a superb cover tackle from Beauden Barrett to deny Stuart Hogg at the death by the way.

Stuart Hogg is giving his post-match interview. And is choking back the tears.

"Bloody disappointing" is his verdict.

What a player that lad is.

Matthew Thorne: As an England fan, fantastic performance from Scotland! Genuinely thought Hogg was going to score at the end, genuinely wanted him too! Well done Scotland! Still, 47-28 to the 6 nations against the antipodeans today

Oh my word that could have been the try from Stuart Hogg. Oh my goodness.

Full-time

Scotland 17-22 New Zealand

Gregor Townsend with his head in his hands.

"Scotland, Scotland, Scotland," rings around Murrayfield.

So close for the hosts.

And Stuart Hogg is close to tears as he heads to the touchline.

Scotland 17-22 New Zealand

Scotland are into the New Zealand half.

Stuart Hogg breaks! He's going! He's going!

No! Hauled down just short and the offload goes forward.

Agonising.

Penalty - Ireland 23-20 Fiji

Ian Keatley

The TMO does not sound convinced, he hesitates, but after some persuasion from the referee, it's just a penalty to Ireland.

It's tucked away by Ian Keatley who slots his second high-pressure kick of the night.

That could be the winner.

Scotland 17-22 New Zealand

Paul O'Connell

Former Ireland captain on BBC Two

That is brilliant attacking from Scotland and they have scored a fantastic try.

It was great support play by Huw Jones to predict that the grubber kick was going to be gathered.

John Beattie

Former Scotland international on BBC Scotland and BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Oh what a score, what a score. Scotland are unbelievably in with a chance.

TMO review

Ireland 17-17 Fiji

The referee was hot on his whistle there.

Cian Healy is lifted above horizontal by Fiji full-back Kini Murimurivalu and we're checking whether that's a yellow card or not.

Converted try - Scotland 17-22 New Zealand

Huw Jones (con Russell)

Three minutes to go! Three minutes!

Stuart Hogg, inevitably, with the class, dabbing a grubber through for Tommy Seymour to gather and pop the ball to Huw Jones to canter into the corner.

Conversion landed from out wide by Finn Russell!

Scotland are five down, a man up and have two minutes to play.

Scotland 10-22 New Zealand

Liam Squire comes powering off the back of a scrum, steps Ali Price and is bearing down on Stuart Hogg.

A perfect tackle on the big man by the Scotland full-back through and the tourists Matt Todd is pinged for an illegal clear-out.

Scotland still with a flicker of hope. Five to go.

Penalty - Ireland 20-20 Fiji

Ben Volavola

Ben Volavola swats away the pressure to land a perfect kick.

That's composure for you.

Scotland 10-22 New Zealand

Simon Berghan is popped through the roof of the scrum by Kane Hames and New Zealand have the penalty.

The All Blacks backs leap in delight.

That has punctured a great hole in the Scots' sails.

Seven minutes to go.

Ireland 17-17 Fiji

But that's sloppy from Ireland.

Having edged in front, Jordi Murphy is pulled for offside and Fiji have the chance to draw level once again.

Scotland 10-22 New Zealand

Scotland with a scrum, five metres out, bang centre field.

If they are to carry off this heist, they need a try quick.

The gap is 12 points and two tries is the quickest way to bridge the gap.

Penalty - Ireland 20-17 Fiji

Ian Keatley

Ian Keatley, off the bench, slots a straight-forward penalty as Ireland nudge in front.

A maul between Scotland and New Zealand
Reuters

This is one of the great games between these two countries.

Scotland 10-22 New Zealand

Chris Paterson

Former Scotland international on BBC Two

You can't play the half-back. A yellow card to Wyatt Crockett is the right decision.

Sin-bin - Wyatt Crockett

Scotland 10-22 New Zealand

New Zealand prop Wyatt Crockett dives over a ruck to scrag Ali Price before the Scotland scrum-half has picked up the ball.

As blatant a yellow card as you like.

Sam Cane comes out of the sin-bin as he team-mate enters it. The All Blacks are going to be down to 14 minutes to the final whistle.

Ireland 17-17 Fiji

Ireland have unloaded their bench. On come British and Irish Lions Tadhg Furlong, CJ Stander and Robbie Henshaw.

They have another kick-able penalty, and this time they'll go for goal.

Scotland 10-22 New Zealand

New Zealand infringe. Scotland don't have time for kicking penalties.

They tap and go. Cornell du Preez is hauled back a metre short.

Ireland 17-17 Fiji

CLOSE!

Stuart McCloskey does pass the ball this time and his offload finds full-back Andrew Conway out on the wing.

Conway kicks ahead and is winning the chase, but the ball just hits the flag on the touchline and bounces out.

Agonisingly close for Ireland. 15 minutes to play.

Scotland 10-22 New Zealand

Ten minutes to go.

Scotland, still a man up after Sam Cane's yellow, have a line-out in the New Zealand 22m.

'A sublime try'

Scotland 10-22 New Zealand

Chris Paterson

Former Scotland international on BBC Two

Some tries are just utterly sublime.

The support line from Damian McKenzie is what does the damage and Beauden Barrett is so quick - there's no way Scotland were catching him.

Ireland 17-17 Fiji

Stuart McCloskey has been everywhere this afternoon. He drives play forward over on the right, before seemingly using teleportation to pop up on the left wing.

He has a man outside him but chooses not to pass, and Fiji wrap him up. Peni Ravai with the turnover as another Irish opportunity goes begging.

Meanwhile fly-half Joey Carbery leaves the field with what looks like an arm injury.

Absolutely sublime.

Break-neck rugby played with the precision of a Swiss watch-maker.

Sonny Bill Williams punches the hole, Damian McKenzie picks jagging line and Beauden Barrett steaks in on a lovely support line.

All while they are missing a man.

Two more from Barrett as well.

Replacement

Scotland 10-15 New Zealand

Changes for New Zealand as TJ Perenara comes on for Aaron Smith at scrum-half and Anton Lienert-Brown replaces Ryan Crotty in the centres.

Ireland 17-17 Fiji

Ireland, not to be outdone, are trying an offload or two of their own.

There's a huge charge from replacement Cian Healy who swats off a couple of defenders but his offload gets lost in the mess and Fiji turn it over.

Ireland have been far too sloppy at the breakdown this evening.

Twenty minutes to go in Dublin.

Relive New Zealand's quick try double

Scotland were camped on the New Zealand try line early in the second half, but it didn't take long for the All Blacks to go down the other end and score the opening try...

...with Damian McKenzie adding a second to put New Zealand in control.
