  1. Glasgow's night at Scotstoun

    FT: Glasgow 34-10 Edinburgh

Well, it was certainly Glasgow's night at Scotstoun. A brace from Niko Matawalu plus other scores from Ali Price and Sam Johnson secured a routine bonus-point win to clinch a home semi-final.

Edinburgh never got going, and their season is over. An underwhelming run-in means they won't be playing in the Champions Cup next season.

But for Glasgow, that Pro14 final at Celtic Park is in sight...

  2. Stuart Hogg sings Raitlin Bog to Scotstoun crownd...

    FT: Glasgow 34-10 Edinburgh

Stuart Hogg has bizarrely been on the pitch singing Raitlin Bog's 'Down in the Valley-oh'. Confused? He's been explaining to our reporter Andy Burke...

"Shocker. I had to do the Raitlin Bog, it was a song I brought in a few years ago after listening to Scoocha. I sung it in a Scotland camp once and the boys absolutely loved it. It's become our song and it brings energy to the boys, and they love it."

On more serious matters, Hogg says: "We worked incredibly hard over the last couple of weeks. The Saracens game brought us back down to earth, we realised we weren't as good as we thought we were.

"We've went back to basics and worked hard since then. A home semi-final was the goal all along."

  3. 'We let ourselves down'- Gilchrist

    FT: Glasgow 34-10 Edinburgh

A disappointed Edinburgh second-row Grant Gilchrist has been speaking to BBC Scotland.

"Bitterly disappointing, we never really got going," he said. "We were against the wind in the first half and we conceded a few soft tries from turnovers.

"We're gutted with how things have panned out over the last few weeks. We were happy with the opportunity we gave ourselves to qualify on both fronts [Pro14 and Champions Cup], and we let ourselves down on the biggest stage."

  4. Rebuild needed at Edinburgh?

    FT: Glasgow 34-10 Edinburgh

    Peter Wright

Former Scotland prop on BBC Radio Scotland

Quote Message: For Edinburgh, you look at defeats against Southern Kings, Zebre, Dragons away from home and Cardiff Blues at home when they were 17 points up. Publicly Richard Cockerill will be bullish, but privately he'll be disappointed. He'll be going to SRU CEO Mark Dodson demanding that his squad his made better. He needs three, four or five good backs.
  5. Full-time- Glasgow 34-10 Edinburgh

Stuart Hogg boots it into touch and we're done!

Glasgow have the home semi-final they were desperate for, and Edinburgh's season is over. There will be no Champions Cup rugby for them next season. A sickener.

  6. Converted try- Glasgow 34-10 Edinburgh

    Duhan Van der Merwe

    Well, that came from nowhere.

Replacement scrum-half Charlie Shiel goes down the blind-side and steps Adam Hastings before offloading to Van der Merwe to waltz in from 30 metres. Merely a consolation though.

  7. Converted try- Glasgow 34-3 Edinburgh

    Tommy Seymour

    What. A. Try.

The last thing you want as a tiring Edinburgh forward, is George Horne sniping at you. The little scrum-half dummies and breaks round the fringe.

He surges through and kicks the ball on, Stuart Hogg gathers and calmly puts in Tommy Seymour for the try. Champagne stuff. Hastings adds the extras and it's a rout.

  8. Post update

    Glasgow 27-3 Glasgow

Edinburgh steal two Glasgow line-outs on the spin and are on the attack. Can they salvage a consolation score?

  9. Post update

    Glasgow 27-3 Edinburgh

Glasgow get another scrum penalty, and they kick to the corner. John Barclay has gone off after that injury by the way, Callum Hunter-Hill is on.

  10. Post update

    Glasgow 27-3 Edinburgh

    Peter Wright

Former Scotland prop on BBC Radio Scotland

Quote Message: Glasgow are looking good, strong and physical. They need to get the main guys off and make sure they're ready for that semi-final in a few weeks.
  11. Post update

    Glasgow 27-3 Edinburgh

Now John Barclay is receiving treatment. Edinburgh's casualty list is growing by the minute. A tad concerning for Scotland fans too!

Meanwhile Stuart Hogg goes close to scoring after a chip and chase, but the ball runs dead.

  12. Post update

    Glasgow 27-3 Edinburgh

I think Edinburgh's players would quite like the whistle to go now, as they concede another penalty while in a decent position. Zander Fagerson, I think, with the decisive role in that scrum.

  13. Ford on for final Edinburgh appearance

    Glasgow 27-3 Edinburgh

There were a few Edinburgh players down in the aftermath of that last Glasgow score. FYI Bill Mata, Henry Pyrgos and Mark Bennett are replaced by Magnus Bradbury, Charlie Shiel and Jason Baggott.

Captain Stuart McInally is now also stretchered off with an ankle injury. It's just not been their night. Ross Ford is on for what looks like his final Edinburgh appearance, given he's away at the end of the season. He's been at Edinburgh his whole career, and what an outstanding servant.

  14. Post update

    Glasgow 27-3 Edinburgh

Not only are Glasgow on course to top Conference A and clinch a home semi-final, but they're going to deny Edinburgh a Champions Cup play-off match. It'll be a huge blow to their rivals' season.

  15. Post update

    Glasgow 27-3 Edinburgh

    Colin Gregor

Former Scotland Sevens captain on BBC Radio Scotland

Quote Message: It’s a long summer when this is your last game of the season. Edinburgh have not really fired a shot tonight
  16. Converted Try- Glasgow 27-3 Edinburgh

    Niko Matawalu

And that, could be the killer score! Matawalu finishes in the corner after getting on the end of a looping pass by Adam Hastings.

He barged off Henry Pyrgos en-route and the Edinburgh scrum-half has stayed down. It looks concerning.

After a delay injured Henry Pyrgos is taken off on a stretcher, Adam Hastings adds the extras with the conversion.

  17. Post update

    Glasgow 20-3 Edinburgh

Oops...the line-out is overthrown and Glasgow break forward. They're inside the Edinburgh half now, the first time they've had ball in hand this half.

  18. Post update

    Glasgow 20-3 Edinburgh

Glasgow exit, but Ali Price's box kick only makes the 22-metre line. Edinburgh with the line-out and another chance to lay siege to the Glasgow line.

  19. Post update

    Glasgow 20-3 Edinburgh

Great defence by Glasgow! Edinburgh work the ball wide into the hands of their giant winger Duhan van der Merwe, he bounces off Stuart Hogg but Adam Hastings bundles him into touch.

A bit of handbags between the scrum-halves, Henry Pyrgos and Ali Price.
